Guild Wars 2

I’ve never really looked into it. But here is a few questions I’ve had about information repositories on gw2 items.

1) Is gw2db handled by fans or Anet?
2) Are all the items on the db in-game?
3) Are there items in-game that aren’t on the gw2db?
4) Is there a better way to find weapons other than the gw2db?

I asked this same question last week with no answer. The reason I was asking was I wanted to discover new forge recipes for bows. I was hoping to find a bow with fire effects but not sure if it even exists.

It does seem logical, though not 100% positive, that there are still more items to be discovered. A couple weeks ago a new set of jewelry showed up on gw2db.

1) Handled by Curse network , definetly not ANet
2) Yes, altought they may be under a different name or not YET in-game, but planned for future updates.
3) Theorically yes. gw2db datamines the gw2.dat file to look up for every item in the game. That means they use scripts to search into gw2 files to try and retreive all there is to be retreived.
4) Some other sites do the same, like GuildHead

Oh that makes sense now! Thanks! It’s just for some reason, a lot of weapons keep popping up that I’ve never come across in the gw2db but I guess it was added later or something. Like Infinite Blade (recently saw on the TP)—never for my life saw a sword like that and I’ve been constantly searching for a 1h sword too.

There is a lot of stuff missing in GW2DB.
