Its real easy to salvage lv 68+ gear to get tier 5-6 mats and lv 51-67 gear to get tier 4-5 mats.
you’re quite right, but this isn’t the same for people farming nodes and get much more mats that way since gear-loot-drops aren’t too common at the moment.
You do realize that doing that sort of thing would result in every material you are farming to drop right? Remember when they had to add in special MF recipes to get rid of extra crafting materials because there were so many around that they became worthless? Do you think they would want a repeat?
I agree with nodes that are appropriate for your level, but consider this. So far, there are two or three zones where you can find Orichalcum nodes, so roughly that about 7 ore you can get before the nodes reset at the moment.
If Orichalcum was available in every zone, eventually you would end up with a lot of more than 7 on daily basis.
Here’s my suggestion, if you’re going to able to get Orichalcum ore from any location in the game, devs should add max number of Orichalcum nodes equal to the current number of nods that you can mine in the current state.
I’m more interested in getting T6 crafting materials in all zones, Orichalcum and Ancient wood aren’t really a problem.
I think the nodes are fine as they are (level appropriate ore in the level appropriate zone).
I would like to see some more reliable way to get some of the other materials like bones, scales, claws etc, especially the t6 ones so that when I need them to level a crafter or for a specific item Ill have them.
I need 500 Viscious claws. Ive been playing almost every day since launch and Ive only got about 12 in drops even after spending a few hours trying to find a place to farm them. At this rate Ill probably never get them all. I would really rather not have to play the TP for these things because I didnt buy the game to be a trader.
