how do i ad better offinsive infusions
You can create both offensive and defensive infusions with AR in them. Here are the links from wiki with the recipes for creating them in MF.
Offensive infusions:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Malign_Infusion (5 condi dmg, 5 AR)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mighty_Infusion (5 pow, 5 AR)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Precise_Infusion (5 precision, 5 AR)
Defensive infusions:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Healing_Infusion (5 heal pow, 5 AR)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Resilient_Infusion (5 tough, 5 aR)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vital_Infusion (5 vit, 5AR)
ok scratch some of that I found under infusions where ya can add the ar and plus 5 to another stat. is that the best these things do?
Most people I know don’t. They’re insanely expensive for what they give you. Lets say you use 6 of the +5 precision ones. That gives you a measly +30 precision maximum, which is essentially +1% crit chance. If you have so much money that you don’t know what to do with, go for it. Otherwise, stick with the Fractal ones which are cheaper and easier to get by far.

In a similar vein, can you replace the basic infusions with a fine one later on the same as you can replace runes & sigils? The description for infusions reads “Double-click to apply to an item with an unused offensive infusion slot” so I’m not certain, anyone know for sure either way?
Yes you can. I haven’t done it myself, but it was brought up on the wiki discussion page and someone confirmed it’s doable. The answer hasn’t been contended since November, so it’s a safe bet he/she was right.
