If I transmuted a legendary weapon into a white rarity and lose it’s legendaryness, move it across characters via bank, and use a transmutation splitter on another character, will that other character be able to have the weapon with the legendaryness restored?

Yes it will work. I did it and then regretted it and moved it back. So I basically wasted the 2 free splitter tokens I got. Thank god they are sold in the gem store though. I used the level 80 white weapons you buy in LA from the weapon vendor guy by Huntsman and Leatherworker trainers. Once you transmute the legendary, the white weapon will become acct bound, put it in the bank, retrieve it for the new toon and then use the splitter.

Well that is pretty cool and justifies the cost of transmutation splitters.

Yes it is a fully operational legendary after the transfer and it will soulbind to whatever char does the split with the splitter. Only thing is if you put in any of the offensive gem things, you will lose those on the transfer so you will need to go buy new ones from the laurel vendor.
