I’m lvl 68 and my weapon and armor making is at the at 125, so do you guys have any tips of find a lot of ore

Weaponsmith and armorsmith on the first character maskes it hard to mine everything you need. The southern half of WvW Borderlands are usually good for iron. There is this map for open world permanent rich iron ore nodes (I haven’t verified its accuracy)

on your first character, I guarantee you you will not be able to craft items at your level. (assuming you’re not buying gems, converting to gold, then buying materials). You literally gain more exp and levels from map exploration, gathering, and incidental pve than you are able to increase your craft’s level.
Also, there’s availability. Example: Iron is only found in certain level areas (above 15) and is used to make level 15+ items. So you can’t really start gathering the material to make level 15 gear until you are above level 15. By the time you gather enough iron to make a level 15 set, you’ll be well above level 15 and then need a level 25 set.

for your first character, I recommend selling all the materials you find, use that gold to buy items every 10 levels or so, then work on crafting professions once you reach level 80 (for your 2nd character). Don’t worry about selling something you should keep – anything you can sell on the TP, you can buy again if you realize you need it.
