As you probably all have noticed silver doubloons are currently sold for 1.3-1.4 in the TP making them impossible to obtain 250 of them. several days ago they were below 1g and a few hours ago they were at 1.10-1.20
This makes Juggernaut the most expensive legendary out there.(besides eternity.)

buying 250 doubloons off the TP requires about 325-250 gold which is an insane price.
every other legendary does not have such an unattainable item.
ALL lodestones are farm-able and not that many in number. you need about 100 lodestones and 250 of another mat, while jugger needs 150 molten lodestones(70-80s) and 250 of an item that has a very very low drop rate.

Now my question to ANET is: have you noticed this? Do you plan on fixing it?

silver doubloons are supposedly obtained by either bags(extremly low drop rate, does not save any money or time.) chests of level 20-ish and forging.
I tried doing chests a while ago with a 20-ish level character but i had no luck(1 silver doubloon so far), it would take years at this rate. and i also tried forging which has a mere 5% chance which means that if you had 250 tries in the mystic forge with about 9-11 gold buying the items you need would produce 10-13 silver doubloons, lowering their cost at little less than 1g.

Are there any plans on making a recipe or a way of obtaining them?
I guess a response from ANET would be great but since that is not happening i at least hope you see this and do something about it.

Also what do other players aiming for jugger think about this?

Like I also said this has a mere 5% chance, also its not a recipe. it’s just gambling.
when you need 250 of them this is no way of obtaining them.

Then suck it up, because that’s how many of the ones being sold to you for a substantial profit on the TP were made. You can cut out the middleman or you can pay the convenience premium, but now that you know how to get them you cannot complain that there is no element of choice.

As I said again I already knew the forge way, BUT its like making clovers to acquire lodestones. its not a recipe nor a successful way of obtaining them.

I agree that on a purely logical basis, there should be a recipe to forge Copper Doubloons into Silver ones, seeing as how Silver → Gold already exists. (And likewise, Gold → Platinum should also be doable.)

It is successful. It’s a grindy, no-fun way to do it, but it works. I recently finished my 250 doubloons solely from mystic forging over the course of a few weeks, and here’s the technique I used to get them:

Buy T1 pebbles and T2 nuggets at a roughly 3:1 ratio, i.e. 300 pebbles for every 100 nuggets. Then use the following “recipes”:

2 T2 + 2 T1

1 T3 + 3 T1

In my experience, both of those ratios give the 5% return. For every T3 lump that gets spit out, recycle it back in using the second recipe. Also recycle T2 marks etc. with the first recipe. You should have almost no leftover gemstones when you are done. At current buy prices for pebbles and nuggets, this method will produce silver doubloons at about 70s a pop.

I’m not keeping this to myself because I’m done getting my doubloons, and I want to help my fellow Juggernauteers. Even though I could, I’m not interested in profiting from this, since grinding out silver doubloons is about the least fun thing you can do in this game.

Anyways, I hope these new “recipes” help anyone out on their quest to the Juggernaut.

Be sure to only do this while watching tv or a movie or talking to people. It’s definitely brain afk work.

The fact that more than one (terrible) method to obtain them exist, doesn’t make those methods any less terrible.
