I am a thief and I only got 1 piece of armor with “superior rune of the thief” but it says I have 7/6 runes pieces of the set. Does this mean that since I am a thief I cant get the bonus because I already have it built into my class. I am confused.

I am wondering the exact same thing. If this happens to be the case, what a waste of 6 gold has it been for me.

you still need all 6 pieces.
but if you have on underwater headgear it will count as one extra.

This is very common. It’s is because the sPVP gear is of the Thief. The game registers those equipped and shows 7/6 if you equip 1 item of the thief in PVE. Try going to the mysts and removing the gear. Then go back to PVE and it will say 1/6.

It’s purely a visual bug. You don’tn actually have 7/6 pieces. The aquatic helm replaces your normal helm while underwater.

Just checked my own spvp gear out, and turns out that is why I was showing 7/6 too.

“pvp runes of [blank]” probably should be made to not stack, or not appear to stack, with their pve counterparts.

I can top that. In PvE I have 12/6 runes of the ranger.
