from the twitch stream today you said you will be sending this to everyone that has transmuted a legendary. NOW will it just revert back to 2 sep weapons or just Bifrost example? and will it be given on the patch day? thanks for info though

The info is on reddit where it was datamined with this last patch.
Example:
You have Bitfrost and you transmutated it to rabid stats. When you use the transmutation splitter you get back Bitfrost and whatever staff you used with rabid stats.
If you say transmutated Bitfrost with a clerics staff then a beserkers staff and lastly a Carrion staff you get back.
