so ive search over internets and i only finded that you can only infuse them, oke. But you can use the ruby jewel in an ascended amulet?

so ive researched more and I think I get it, the asscended amulet/ring/acesorie is better than any exotic trinket+its jewel.

wut, check the stat of exotic + the ruby orb inside to the ascended one, the ascended one still has higher stats.

Ascended trinkets already have stats that INCLUDE an Exotic Jewel (usually the same type as the base stats). There are a few that have a Jewel of a slightly different stat (the trinkets with 4 stats bonuses).

So, to sum it up, the only types of upgrades that can be used in ascended amulets are offensive, defensive, utility and versatile infusions. Standard upgrades that can be applied to exotic amulets are an inherent part of ascended ones already.
