why so hard to reach 500 in a profession?
That inscription can be bought from the trading post right now for about 3 gold.
It’s not that you have to use it, it’s that the Flawless Snowflakes are cheap right now. One snowflake is only about 5 silver right now. The other T6 mats are much more expensive, up to 50 silver or more each. Since you have to discover so many items to reach level 500, it quickly adds up. Buying the inscription has a high upfront cost but a lower overall cost since the snowflakes are so cheap.
thx for the tip Astral but dont u think that its unfair?because i couldnt play for such a long time i shouldnt be able to earn it by my own???professions shouldnt link with living world(of gw2).they should be more solid…
The crafting guides are nothing about fairness, they are about cheapest. They are not made by ANet, they are made by players to help other players to reach their goals as cheaply as possible. If you want to be ‘fair’ then farm for the T6 mats or for gold to buy them. Pretend that inscription was never in game. It will cost you significantly more but it will be ‘fair’ if that’s your most important concern.

If you really want to see something look up the “Keepers” (Ascended Zealot stats) recepies on the TP.
60g buys you the recepie for the Staff…
Looks like 200-250g just to learn how to make a suit of heavy armor….

Ascended crafting is for players who can sink a lot of time (or money) into the game. If you’re that sort of player then spending gold on the materials isn’t a problem. If the cost is a problem for you then keep going with your exotics for the time being. You can do everything except top fractals with exotics quite happily.
It’s not supposed to be easy.
My only complaint is that I wish that crafting the Ascended components (e.g. Deldrimor Sword Hilt, Ascended Insignia) gave XP from 475 onwards.
You should blame the writers of the guides for suggesting the use of event specific items / materials in their guides. I’m guessing if those items are in there, the guide is pretty dated.

Yes, that would help with getting those last 25 levels.

Updated every 20 minutes based on current TP prices.
Hell I’m getting my last craft to 500 by just using drops. It’s a lot more “expensive” and slow, but it’s really lazy, and I like it. heh
