But they were spurred on by the Consortium! Le gaspeth, it’s Evon (bad pun) a conspiracy to get us to hate Pirates from the very beginning!

If Kiel is a pirate then ArenaNet has done something that’s very difficult to do and managed to make pirates boring. It baffles me that Kiel can find a crashed ship full of treasure and, as a pirate, makes a Love and Justice speech about how puppies and kitties will be sad if she takes the treasure for herself.

God help Lion’s Arch if Kiel qualifies as a pirate.

Voting for Kiel is both shortsighted and foolish, but do go ahead.

I do not see a reason to change my votes from Evon to kiel :/

Oh and kiel reminds me of kormir, that’s not a good thing.

Points 1-4 and 6-11 are irrelevant to me.

And point 5 needs a clarification – Voting for Kiel is not a vote against RNG. It’s just plain neutral.

I’m goin Gnashblade, simply because Charrs are the only acceptable race to me.

1. Kiel is less a pirate than Chauncey von Snuffles III, she is a disgrace to everything piracy.
2. Evon could live in a cave in the mountains and he would still be more pirate than Ellen Kiel is capable of on her best day.

4. Evon is such a great pirate he doesn’t even need to sail anymore in order to successfully plunder the whole of Tyria
5. Evon is lowering prices for ONE month. After that, nothing. Kiel is doing the same. If both of them lower prices by ten percent, though, the real savings are from Evon. All you’ll get out of Kiel are a handful of coppers.
6. Ellen Kiel believes in Goodness, Puppies and always looking both ways before crossing the street. Evon Gnashblade believes in making a profit and gouging the competition. Evon Gnashblade is the condidate with the understanding of how to support a TRADE city.

8. Canach was trying to stop the Consortium. By supporting Kiel you supported an evil corporation using indentured servants. Canach was extreme, but he had the right idea. Kiel, the so called pirate, was unwilling to throw law to the wind in order to do what she thought was right. She is not the kind of person that belongs on any sort of Council.
9. First off, Charr are fantastic swimmers. Second off, Pirates stealing from pirates sounds very piraty. Third Evon is a businessman and leader of the largest corporation in Tyria, he doesn’t need Lion’s Archs money to do anything. Fourth, if Evon was giving money to the Ash Legion they would already have userped the Iron Legion and taken over the Black Citidel. Last, Evon knows how to make money and turn money into more money. Whatever he does, I want him to do it, because the ultimate result is profit.
10. Altruism and Pirate are mutually exclusive. She cannot be both. Ellen Kiel knows nothing about trade nor diplomacy. She has no idea how to deal with the Zephirites and no capacity negotiate anything in the favor of anyone she would be representing. Evon Gnashblade, on the other hand, is a business man and would take the Zephirites for everything they’re worth, meaning only profit and prosperity for Lion’s Arch.
11. If there is anything Ellen Kiel is not, it’s a Pirate.

Honestly if this vote was between Suwash and Evon – I’m sorry but I’m voting for the brave quaggan.

12. Kiel is not part of the Flame Legion.

I’m going to have to agree with Kal that Kiel is about as far from a pirate as you can get.

I’d much rather be able to stock up on Black Lion keys when they’re cheap to save for something in the future that is Black Lion Chest Exclusive than get cheaper way points which are already cheap by anyones standards for something that lasts only four weeks. At least the Black Lion keys will keep.

Keep in mind Black lion keys will drops scraps that can be claimed for any future wep skins that get released this way. So that investment will be much more worth the trouble.
