I See No Tomorrow.7302

I want to clear some stuff up and I couldn’t find a good place to get myself heard in other threads so I’ll start a new one.

1. The Fall of Abaddon
The Fall of Abaddon is not from Guild Wars 1. What were we doing in GW1:NF? We were preventing Abaddon from rising again. Not falling. Abaddon’s Fall is a reference to the historical event that took place in Orr back in the day, right before the human Gods departed from Tyria into the Mists. In GW1, Abaddon had already fallen. Thus, if this Fractal were to be researched, we’d get something predating GW1 entirely and would provide a look into the deep past of the Gods in Tyria. As to whether we’d see Abaddon and the other Gods is up for discussion, as we don’t know how the Fractals of the Mists are able to replicate the past, or if they’d be able to project the ancient shadows of the Gods to us, seeing as the human Gods are already in the Mists. Can there be two of each? Could a shadow-Mists Abaddon somehow realize that he is merely within a Fractal of the past? We do not know.

2. Thaumanova Reactor
The Thaumanoa Reactor has often been written off as just more “asura shenanigans”. I do think that it is more than that. Perhaps people go there too often to beat up our good friend the Fire Elemental, but I believe we need to reexamine the place. We don’t get much information except that it was a reactor of some sort built by the Inquest and used the mysterious chaos energy/magic. What is chaos magic? We have no idea, except that it seems to be dangerous and generally uncontrollable. As an Anet dev said, who knows what we’ll get if we access a chaos magic reactor within the mists?

3. Black Lion Keys & Waypoint Costs
These last for four weeks. I think that basing an entire campaign that will determine the next permanent (for the time being) councilmember and storyline on one of these four-week goodies is a little short-sighted. Look at each candidate’s character and, yes, even at the Fractal they may bring to the mix.

All in all folks, giving us control over the living story (to some extent) is a good step in my opinion. Let’s just see where this leads us.
