Fake elections, on an online game, which are ultimately completely meaningless for the actual game aside from some minor side stuff, much less have any impact on your real life, and some of you are going completely nuts. It’s kittening hysterical. I bet most of the people raving and whining about this kitten didn’t care half as much the last time something that actually affected them in real life happened.

For those who chose Kiel really got nothing in return besides cheaper way points overall. We would of gotten a dungeon regardless.
You guys chose garbage benefits over good benefits and you know people buy stuff from the Black Lion Chest Market. I’m pretty sure Kiel voters buy stuff from there too, but to vote for her is like failing a test with answers on the back.

This is not a counterpoint, especially since living story is going to be the closest thing to new content for the moment

Agreed, I never saw Kiel as taking the credit, she was always reluctant to be in the spot light in fact.
I liked both equally myself, so I’m happy with Kiel beating Evon regardless of my support of Evon.

Actually, that’s exactly how it works. If someone pays you to create something for them, they can legally claim the copyrights to it and claim authorship of it because it was completed as a “work for hire.”
But really in this instance, it’s like talking history… We talk about the victories of Alexander the Great, or Washington crossing the Delaware. Sure, there are plenty of folks that get annoyed because a General gets all the credit while the grunts do the dying. But, as special and heroic as everyone wants to feel in a game, the truth is that we’re just the grunts. There’s thousands of other (insert profession here) that are stepping up just like you, and in the end, the person that coordinated it (like Kiel) is the one that gets recognized.

Actually, that’s exactly how it works. If someone pays you to create something for them, they can legally claim the copyrights to it and claim authorship of it because it was completed as a "work for hire.
Go and tell any big name artist taking commissions on the internet that they don’t deserve to be credited with drawing any sort of commissions and that the people who commissioned them should have full permission to claim that they drew it.
