Anyone else miss the token system?
Tokens are still available, what are you talking about. BTW. they are kitten ing me off anyway because it only occupy my inventory space.
For all new content since january no, theyre not available in the same manner as old dungeons. It’s all RNG now.

Not a dungeon, in general. All these new rewards like aether skins are behind rng crap. How bout they just implement a system where you do new content and get rewarded with tokens and when you have enough you can exchange it for an item you want – you know, like in all the old dungeons? What’s so bad about doing that.
Makes sense. It would bring gw2 back from a F2P game to a B2P game. The denial of access to skins and aesthetic variety by putting on the BLTC is pretty annoying. Not only do they limit access by forcing players to use real money, but they randomize it which causes more difficulty attaining things if you are just not lucky. Totally agree. With all the mini-games they’ve released, they could at least integrate a token of some sort to give you the skins.

I so agree with this. I also had this problem with having too many unused tokens, as some poster said, but really it’s not all that hard to manage, buy the gear with them and salvage them for ectos or such. I also got a specific exotic earring recipe from TA that uses 200 TA tokens to make, the item can then be sold on TP.
It was fun when skins are largely obtained that way. I wanted a specific look, so all i had to do was work towards it slowly and get it finally. With RNG is just stupid, especially if it’s temporary. even if it isn’t temporary, theres a likely chance (many being unlucky) that it’ll take so long to acquire that in that time you would have been able to get a similiar item several times over if it was done by the old dungeon token system.
