Just wanted to remind you folks to consider what you will be doing/how much you will be playing Guild Wars during the 4 weeks the WP costs will be reduced before voting for Kiel.

Cutthroat Politics is likely to go for all of August. So earliest the 4 weeks is going to happen is in September. But the four weeks of reduced WP might not actually happen until October!

Consider what your schedule is going to be in September/October. Will you have work related deadlines? Starting school/college etc? Will you have exams? Are you going on holiday? Is there an event scheduled for that period that’s likely to keep you away from the game?

Now obviously if you think Kiel is the best candidate or like her Fractal choice, that’s a totally different matter. But if your primary motivation for voting for Kiel is the WP reduction, it’s important to consider the period during which the WP costs will be reduced. It may not be as beneficial given the time frame because September/October is a busy period in RL.

How many people use waypoints? Everyone.
How many people buy keys? I guess not more than 30%.

As simple as that. BL chest are simply not worth the key price (even if it was reduced by 50%).

I am not advocating BL keys, merely pointing out that as a temporary reduction you have to consider the time frame in with WP costs will be reduced. I.e. what good is it if its under utilised or not utilised enough. I personally think basing your vote of either of the temporary reductions, both WP and keys, is not wise but that’s just me.

New Fractals? Nice. Which one? Both themes are fine for me. I expect a rushed and unpolished one. But can’t be more annoying then the ice one. Actually looking more forward to get the Flame and Frost Dungeon as a fractal, we will get anyway.

Cheaper BL keys? I couldn’t care less about them. Nothing really interesting in them that actually drops often enough to buy a few. Perma. Bank Access would be nice, but with all the crap inside them and the drop rate, I will not gamble on them.

Crab Toss and Southsun Survival? No thank you. I am done with Crabtacular. Not going to attempt it ever again.

Reduced WP costs? The few silver for a month don’t really matter. But this is the only thing everyone in PvE has something from. We WvW players of course get nothing here as usual.

So nothing really what would drive me to the voting booth. Fractal runners are who drive the voting and generate the daily logins Anet urgently needs.

Hope they will put up vote tokens at the TP. What’s an election if it cannot be rigged? xD

Anyway, I highly welcome the voting thing in a living story form. At least gives the illusion of listening to what the players want.

It would be way more interesting if the offers were really different and basically not just “your fractal of choice” about which we know nothing beside the theme.

In the end WP costs will win anyway… Moving on…

True about the WvW getting nothing tho. Except screwed. they do that a lot. Gotta “rebalance” the skills with PvP in mind, regardless of how it screws with WvW viability. And heaven forfend you try to rank up more then a couple toons.

I’ll take the WPs. The saving just chasing world chest events will be huge, and not touching keys for chests with contents I don’t want or need. Fractals are irrelevant to me.

I hope people have more sense then to just vote for the reduced waypoints. Some guilds have bonuses that already reduce the cost of them. So unless Kiel will be reducing it more then guilds.. It’s pointless. Besides, guilds don’t have reduced prices of BLK!

I also find it funny that people are getting so hyped about a 4 week reduce to WP costs. Are these people really saying that they can’t afford 3 or 4 silver? I can make back my WP fees without noticing.

Who said they can’t afford current wp costs? Never seen anyone claim that. Is it hard to understand most people don’t gamble on the rng bl chests, so that discount means nothing whereas discount wp is free money?

No, the entire argumet covers the fact that the ONLY thing they are offering to me that matters is the WP fees. Since I don’t give a flying frig at a rolling donut about fractals, and I care even less about the dross they give you from BLCs. Ergo, the only thing that benefits me that they are offering is the WP fee reduction.

You will save about ~1 gold after 4 weeks. ^^
