A quick guide showing the full tier 4 fight, I show how I did it and what tricks I used to be able to survive it alone.

yea, at the time it was like 5am, I was falling asleep but wanted to finish this thing. Deffinatly not my best effort but even though I lacked a lot, I still did it which shows just how effective this method is

This actually helpd me completing the T4 as a Ranger solo…(wasn’t able to record it though cause overwolf had some weird problem). Cheers for the tips.

Still i can’t let this pass without saying, the scaling of this dungeon when it’s done by a group (any size group, i’v tried them all) is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S… With all the respect i have for Anet and your work guys, cmon wth was that? i tried it over 15 times (t4) and honestly? it’s not the lack of tactics, we’v tried plenty…it’s not the group composition problem, i’v had all kind of groups (and this shouldn’t even be a point to mention, since EVERY dungeon is promissed to be doable by any group). Dude the first time i did this i could only think of Twilight Arbor path fw/up’s last boss! That’s Impossibru lvl, aswell as this is!

Now I’m not saying i would love this to be easy peasy, tank and spank…but well if u wanna make something hard, don’t make it hard by spawning a sh*#ton of mobs that stun u endlessly. Give us a specific tactic to think about, it doesnt even have to be obvious, but cmon…it has to be at least possible!…

Well anyways, cheers for this tip, it kinda helps some professions through, and Anet i’m not raging at you guys, i wouldn’t do that, i love this game and all u’v done for us gamers…it’s just that, this specific thing, made me kinda sad, and i’m not the only one…

T4 is very easy if you have a full glass cannon rifle warrior specced with leg specialist, rifle 2 and then rifle 3 kills all the plunderers

When the only way to win a game is cheating, then that game just isn’t fun anymore.
Anet, hire some people to actually play new content before you release it.

I’m at work so can’t check out the video. Does it involve standing at the spawn spot of the robber, rooting him when he spawns and killing him fast? This is how I did it a few times with my ranger. We have so many traps for this, it’s amazing (frost, muddy terrain, spike traps); additionally, we have 2 immobilize/roots from pets. And, if all else fails, use your elite – entangle

It’s a bit weird that you have to do it like this is it? It works, but it sure as hell is no fun at all.

I think they should do open beta testing of upcoming content so these prioblems would be less likely to occur,

I managed it as glass cannon D/P thief in rare berserker armor off the trading post. Scorpion Wire and Basilisk Venom and some stealth utilities while using the Pistol 4 interrupt when the Plunderers tried to toss up the bag, I did Tier 4 for both candidates finishing with 500 supply left at the end.

Did with a kinda zerker guardian with 20/30/20, sword/torch and scepter/focus with the bane signet and signet of wrath. It was hard when the plunderer on the right started spawning, and aetherblades started aggroing and never went to the middle.

Im surprised this hasn’t been fixed so groups of 5 can actually complete it.

ooh update, maybe fixing it! im gonna go do it again to check. Not doing much else for 50 mins till reset

It got fixed so now both plunderers spawn along with more pirates. You could possibly duo it but I don’t think solo is possible anymore.

Managed before this latest update to get it solo with a Ranger. Used Longbow, pet on passive but used one with poison/immobilize also used Muddy Terrain (cripples and immobilizes) on skills. I had tried with shortbow (my fave) but just didn’t quite make it on previous attempts on T3. Longbow did the trick for me. Also stay back behind the rocks to keep from bringing the mobs to you and take down plunderers as far as you can go out without getting mob attention and cap them coming back in. Having the restraint from following them into the mobs is key. Muddy Terrain was great to trap and cap them off when coming back in.
