Do Not Remove "Call of Karka" skill
After the event is over, add two versions of the game. One for laughs that includes Karka, one for more tense survival with heavily nerfed or removed Mist Walkers. The game is great! But that one change could add a completely new and tense experience with minimal changes necessary.

You mean, one where you have to actually pay attention, and one where you can just AFK somewhere and tab in to use a ration while everyone waits, and all the ghosts get kicked for inactivity because they have nothing to do? Yeah, that sounds fun…
Southsun survival is just about the right ratio of engagement and waiting, and the karka serves a purpose in that.
Ya, to be honest I am not very good at fighting in SSS but I have won 3 or 4 survivals now by stacking rations at the start and running to my secret spot. I just chow down on 6 or so rations and no one can find me. If you took away mist walkers thats how EVERY game would end.
Then perhaps there could be a greater rework in general. Borders that push players together more effectively than the NPC Karka spawns. I would simply like to see a bit more of player kills and less of starvation or Karka kills.
The karka is needed to speed up the finish. Being a ghost is fun but once most of the sparks are gathered it becomes rather boring. That’s what karkas fix, they make camps inaccessible and finish off people quickly. It is exciting to have one spawn on top of you, and yet escape. That’s survival of the fittest.
After a few game you should know who like to stack rations and hide.
Grab some weapon(ex:pistol) and follow him.

This.
Grab a pistol, follow him around while he collects his crap and then end it all, preferably just after the grace period ends so he gets the message.
However if you do that, please be aware that you will be dodging karkas a remarkable amount of the time you spend alive.
Better to stalk them quietly and kill them after you’re both out in the wilderness. Then you’ll have his 5+ rations and won’t be anywhere near revenge motes. Wait ~20 seconds and then change your hiding spot to a different one in the middle of nowhere, so if they run off for motes you’ll be gone when they return.

nah the current version is working just fine.
if the karka and ghosts players are removed, the game would be very boring.

the dead players play the role of “shrinking borders” or “hunger games organizers” via karka summoning and various traps.
And then suddenly you realize the karka summoning is often quite pointless, unless you do it very early in the game with most survivors still alive.
Karka need a nerf. A no-warning 1 shot attack is stupid. In my opinion remove all ‘attacks’ from the mist mode, as it destroys the survivors game as they can do nothing about it, or even get a warning.

You get a warning, the sound, and you can predict the attack too. It is entirely possible to get away when a karka spawns on top of you. Considering they cost 10 sparks, and are not a guaranteed kill, they are not OP in the least. Far too many players just escape them and you get no points. The traps are much better in many cases.
