Does Magic-Find increase token drop chance?
Well it’s a rare level drop, yes, so it should be increasing your drop rate. I don’t actually have any evidence to support that though, since I don’t use MF.
Seems that way. Get a lot of those wooden chests with tokens in them.
I’ve noticed quite an increase in kite fortunes and vote tokens with +30% food buff on. Also, since I use the +30% zhaitaffy food buff that only lasts for 20min, I keep forgetting to eat some more. So when it runs out and I’m running around killing stuff without the MF on, it is my noticing that I’m not really getting any kites/tokens that reminds me to eat some more food, which then start dropping again.

I don’t think it does. MF adjusts the loot table so that you are more likely to get rarer items. I believe Anet previously stated that MF does not increase chances of something dropping, it only improves the quality of things that drop.
Kite Fortunes, Support Tokens, and other special drops generally have a separate chance to drop – they don’t take the place of a normal drop. Since there is nothing to improve or replace in those loot tables, it’s entirely possible that MF has no effect on them. They either drop or they don’t.

Loot is always like that for me (chests excepted) whether I use MF or not. I’ll be getting blues fairly often with the odd green/yellow, and then for a while it’ll be nothing but ‘trophy’ vendor trash (or the other way around). A few minutes later and I’m back to the beginning.
I really wish I had an easy way to keep track of it, because I’m sure if I had records of my loot and kills I’d find a pattern like that emerged after a while. Or maybe loot and time. I don’t know if it’s diminishing returns, or the way they randomize it just causing cycles or what, but it just doesn’t seem very even. Not precisely predictable, but like random with preferences.
