Evons promise is accountable as its one of his own products. Kiel to my limited information is neither the owner nor operator of every wp in tyria, Lions Arch council is not the owner of every wp either. So is this wp reduction cost being funded from LA public funds? from multiple trade arrangements with wp operators? Misdirection of detained funds looted form Consortium + Aetherblades?

In short Evon can fund promises, Kiel i cannot realistically see how she can.

Kiel can create a subsidy for WP costs funded by the tax generated throughout tyria. The interesting thing is that with all the power that comes with Evon being voted in, not one of them has any actual cost associated with his success. I mean, a sale of BL keys is not really gonna cut down on his profits, because as we’ve seen, he does regular sales, even bigger sales of higher-value items. This translates to us that he isn’t too worried about costs for the sale. However, Kiel actually has to allocate some funds for reducing WP transits. I reckon the actual cost of the WP goes to the Asuran government for maintenance and repair of the WPs.

Don’t disturb me, I have a cat in me at the moment.

Pretty simple:
Combine the two:
Promise the Asura to research into the Reactor incident, while asking them to cut down on global Waypoint costs.

The only crime, turrets committed, is being good against the celestial meta.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.

Problem i see is both Evon and Kiel are offering a ‘bribe’ to get voted, but the bribe of keil is funded by city not personal funds, where as Evons offer is personal resources.

With the fractal again its money from LA to Asura techs. Funding a fractal development and a wp reduction really can’t be a bargain for LA coffers.

If i were an LA resident i’d be furious at these promises, much rather local taxes were reduced or spent on local matters , housing built other than shipwreck salvage, a lionguard better trained then meat in a uniform.

As far as Kiel not having sway over the gate network, I’d laugh if the waypoint cost reduction was “at participating locations only” – namely, Lion’s Arch.

Evon probably has more personal money than all of LA put together. I can see him funding it entirely. Kiel though, it just feels wrong. I get that she’s an important part of the story, but if we are voting on who can bring greater prosperity to LA then there is no doubt it’s Evon.
