It has come to my knowledge that a friend of a friends uncle heard from a coworker that one of his friends were eavesdropping in some pub on a few cats that they heard a story that a few skritt employed by Ms. Kiel stole ballot boxes and changed approx. 3mil votes.

This same friend of a friends uncle also heard from another relative that they personally were paid to enter in votes from dead ascalonians, dead krait and many names held by thousands of fallen who are now in fact a part of the Risen army.

We have been duped by a clever gal, not unlike the time we were duped by some lame who was in fact some super powered dead Lich.

Wait, this was a pirate election. The ballots had no names on them. Otherwise, I’d have had to write my name like 300 times. There appears to be a dolyak-sized plot hole in your theory. nods sagely

IMO it was those confusing poll stations… took me two hours to find them, and the breeze on the ship blew in my face and made it difficult to discern the candidates faces. Then I was forced to place the ballots in one by one, which was fatigue inducing and thus made me more prone to being manipulated or confused. This isn’t counting the trek up a mountain and group of attacking bandits I had to clear on my way to just go and vote, in addition to having a deep seated fear of heights.
