Minigames are amazing!
but first, they should make all the mini games permanent.
not only during festive seasons.
weekly rotation works fine too!
Just ditch the gameplay that we have in open-world, wvw and pvp and just pump in more minigames! PLEASE!

hmmm but we can’t have that!
those are the core game play.
mini games are … mini games!

I think he’s using sarcasm as a commentary tool on how the Living Story has delivered more mini-games than actual MMO content.
I disagree. I think the majority of the developement should focus on things that are not this typical mmorpg so we can have something different than all those “other” games. (WoW)
Minigames and jumping puzzles are cute. Side stuff. Which should remain that way. If you want such things, just whip out a console and knock yerself out. Many of us bought an MMO title for MMO content.
For my part, if the game had no jumping puzzles and never had a minigame trotted out, but instead had more complex, deeper storyline with relevant, broadly playable PvE content (not just an end dungeon) to support it properly, I’d be quite satisfied.
At this point, one can barely, if at all, complete a main Living Story (i.e. storyline) achievement without having to do jumping puzzles and/or minigames. Sorry, but I fail to see the “storyline” or “emergent, breathing world” aspects of such things.
