Will individuals be afforded more votes based upon their time spent farming in game? Are some players more equal than others?

I think that’s the point… I mean, we’re voting for a person to help lead a city controlled by pirates. I mean, this kind of opens the door to make thinks completely not fair.

Pirates be pirates yo, so if ye have the booty, then ye have the booty.

^— That is exactly the point. Pirates. It isn’t meant to be fair, and I think it’s meant to be a little bit more than ridiculous.

I think one of the devs said that there will be NPC’s trying to buy peoples votes O_o, although that could have just been referring to the promises Kiel and Evon are making.

What is described is a meritocracy; those who earn more votes will have more influence. Unless you can trade the tokens, wealth has no influence.
