Is it just me, or does the required amount to max this achievement seem well beyond what it needs to be based on the other achievements.

I don’t mean to complain, but with Aspect Arena none of the achievements really felt like i had to grind too much. With High Scorer, i have 25% with everything else already completed.

Is anyone having more luck with this one? Maybe I just need to make sure I survive longer, but the max I see is like 100pts in a match.

I think I maxed everything else out at around 30-33% progress on it, so roughly 50 matches should get it to max, thats abit higher than usual.

It takes me longer than the other achievements too. I have no problem with that but it gives you the least amount of achievement points and i dont understand that. It gives just 5 in total for 2500 points.

If it’s taking you 50+ matches to get High Scorer, you’re doing it wrong. I got it the same game as my fourth loot bag, which is every sixth game. That means 24 games and I was done (although I still played quite a bit more because it’s the most fun I’ve had in PvP yet). Campers get low scores, so be active. Also, campers slow down the game. So instead of revenge-killing whoever kills you, karka bomb the campers.

Are you telling me you average 104pts every game? That seems a little high when most of the games I’m in, the top score is 70-80.

I never looked at my score per game, but I did always get a message popping up saying most scavenges and most arrow kills.

Edited to add: When I died, I always went to areas with a large number of gathering spots to get as many motes as possible in a short time, then beacon trap / karka people and repeat until the game ends.

2500/24 = 104. Even with most arrow kills i don’t see these sort of numbers. Did you get a bunch of people to line up for you at the start with the 2min buff up? i rarely see scores this high, and yet you are averaging 104?

I admit that I may be off by (at most) 1 loot bag, making my average 83.33, but even then it takes much less than 50 games. And yes, I do kill a number of people during the first 2 minutes. I usually go for the pistol, throwing dagger, or sword at the start. If I don’t think I can get any of them I go for an arrow and start killing.

Edit: Headshot only, not wasting arrows on weaker skills unless I have plenty to spare.

Worst thing is it’s not even worth many achievement points.

Some decent money to be earned, though.

Just checked my achievements list and it says “Southsun Survival Regular” was “Repeated 4 times” with 4/6 current.

You obviously don’t play WvW, but yes this particular achievement is out of line with the others in this category.

2,500 is high, but still achievable.
it is possible, confirmed can get as you as you put in some effort.

unlike some achievements which are very dependent on latency and luck (crabtacular, sanctum spirit)
