THIS IS HOW YOU BEAT T4!
The problem for me is the enemies now get aggroed to you way too easily.
I had 4 Veteran Swashbucklers on me and wouldn’t go away!<

Just run back as far as you can and de-aggro
this isn’t beating it, it’s just passing the bare minimum for the acheev.
Beating it means kill 50 pirates.
Majority, including more casual players, or people that just want the mini, are only concerned with finishing the event. And this is the method. If you want a method for a Gold completion, this isn’t the one. Pretty sure i mentioned that in my second sentence.
This work’s sometimes and very class dependent. Though I agree, for the first couple of minutes you can kill them only a few feet from spawn. Why bother though when they’ll run all the way to the back and to spawn again. Taking all the time off the clock. I chill cripple them as much as possible both coming and going.

If you have issues with CC, just bring a friend or guildmate to make up for the lack of CC. Still avoiding the disorganization and chaos of a 5-man.
This can be solo with ranger easiely. Just use longbow(1500 range) and shorbow stay near the mortar and range the runner and break aggro by running to the back. And remember to turn pet aggro off.
Start with shortbow Concussion Shot >Crippling Shot >Poison Volley. Switch to longbow knock plunderer back with Point Blank Shot and finish with Rapid Fire and if you have problem with aggro use Hunter’s Shot for the stealth
The difficulty scale with more players so solo seems to be the best way of getting this done.

Mind sharing your build for this?

I did this on my ranger as well. Used Longbow and Greatsword. For my skills i only really needed Muddy Terrain. Point blank with longbow, swap to GS and immobilize, muddy terrain, and by the time i finish all that, point blank is back up. You could go the extra mile and use a pet CC like wolf fear or spider immobile.
But for Ranger, the magic question comes down to build. Which is Full Zerker???? Which is really ridiculous to require everyone who wants a simple achievement to run out and spend 10+ gold on gear.
I’ve done it on Kiel. Repeating it is proving to be a pita. No matter solo or in groups.

As a ranger it is ridiculously easy, you don’t even need to move to do it. Grab a longbow with the Eagle Eye for an increased range (1500 auto-attack and 1800 if you press the keys), put your pet on passive mode, get a stone spirit and climb the rocks in front of the mortar.
Then, from now on you don’t even have to move. You can reach both plunderers by standing on this spot and more often than enough a single rapid fire (with maybe 1 or 2 AA if your RF didn’t do many crits) is enough to shut them down. Because you don’t move, normally you won’t aggro any mobs, however sometimes they still come for you then use your stealth and watch them walk away (or run into the water).
