Just wanted to thank ANET for making the weapon skins tradeable. This brings back the same thrill as Halloween whenever a Greatsaw drops.
I know there will be people who disagree with me, but in my opinion this is how to do the RNG properly.
Tickets and ticket scraps will continue to drop from the Black Lion Chest and can be used for select future weapon sets.

Just in case you still don’t get them (as you have a chance at any of the skins and you might one a very specific one) you will still be able to get them from the bazar

If the scraps were guaranteed drops from the chest it might hold some value, possibly if it gave more than 1 scrap one the random chance as well. But otherwise, its still just as bad.

Now the ones that want RNG for the thrill and the possible low cost reward if they’re lucky enough can still do that, and then players can get the skins from the bazar if they don’t want to go through that process, letting players that took risks set a price in consequence with their investments and demand.
It’s a win-win situation as you can get them either with or without gambling risks.

PS: If he wins and the BL Keys offer is good enough, we could start investing during those 4 weeks on keys to get a good amount of tokens to get future value. I’ve never tried the RNG token weapons before, but this opens up an interesting possibility.

yeah, for only 2 weeks. Then its 50 scraps needed, and since they aren’t guaranteed, you have to open at least 50 chests. Tell me thats not making you buy more from the gem store (unless you take the time to do the lvl10 story thing).

Good going Anet, nice way for you to get people to buy your keys. I really admire how you create the need. Though, I’m not going to spend $50,- like I did with Southsun and Mad king.

Well I know I don’t get that kind of drop rate, not after the last 3 I opened with keys from zone/ps completions. Maybe it knows I just keep deleting the chests when I get them…

Yeah, I highly doubt they will be cheap. Look at any of the rare stuff. Aetherized possibly, since they could possibly drop in Candidate Trials, but any after won’t be. Especially Fused, Scalarite, and Jade, which I think can be now sold on the TP if they didn’t already use their ticket to claim a weapon. I know my Wintersday ones won’t be worth anything… I wish I could use them to buy one of the other kind.
