This just in we have reason to believe that the Lionguard have been routing carrier pigeons through their offices between deliveries. Could Ellen Khiel be using the mail system to her advantage in the coming election? Is your own private mail history being used to manipulate you for your votes?!?!?! Is Khiel actually concerned with our security or is she really concerned with spreading her power influence and tyranny beyond the Lionguard to encompass the entire citizenry of Lions Arch? Do we dare risk allowing her the levers of power?

We received this information from a source that says he was forced to work as a part of the Lionguard security detail that oversaw the snooping in the mail of our citizenry. We would like to bring you more information from Edard Snowfang as he makes it available to us.

I don’t know about you but I don’t care about spying. If you didn’t do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

I’m an upstanding citizen of Tyria. I don’t engage in pirate activity or assist in the distribution of counterfeit Golems, or engaging in human trafficking with Cantha.

If you want to know about spying, look know further than the Black Lion Trading Company. They spy on every transaction you do, and also take a “generous cut” for themselves of 15%. That is 5% at time of posting the transaction, and 10% at sale; though if you remove the transaction, they’ll still pocket the 5% just because.

What’s bad is that they then take these transaction records, and add new items to their privately owned shop (know to most as “The Gem Store”), as well as sales, based on what people have mostly dealt with. It’s a mass marketing scheme to separate citizen from coin-purse.

As for the Lion’s Guard reading some mail, I see no issue with this. Recently the city of Lion’s Arch was invaded by Aetherblade Pirates and a captain of the Pirate’s Council was murdered out in the open (during a celebration, no less). The murderer was found to be right under our noses, trying to usurp a seated position. And though still captured, the individual in question still has yet to reveal this mysterious “Scarlet” person she was working for. So, the city of Lion’s Arch could use all the extra security it can take.

Can we really afford to allow for this unprecedented power grab by the Lionguard? Captain Magnus the Bloody Handed and Lionguard, Captain Ellen Kiel and Lionguard, now we know they’re reading our mail. Before we knew that they were working together and have had questions of fraternization covered up. What kind of strangle hold will they have over Lions Arch when they control two seats on the council?

A vote for Kiel is a vote for a Lionsguard police state.
