ArenaNet gets a real-world financial boost if Evon wins. Players get a highly desired fractal if Evon wins. And Evon is a rapscallion; people seem to favor rapscallions over straight-laced do-gooders (Wolverine vs Cyclops, anyone?).

It looks to me that Kiel doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell to win.

She might have a chance. While I think people here on the forums might favor Evon, I think the overall populace will favor Kiel.

I have a sneaking suspicion we’re going to see a ton of mud-slinging and dirty deeds, with Evon pulling the first trigger. People don’t tend to like politicians or people who do that, so there may be a lot of players voting against him because of his actions.

There are still people who don’t care about fractals (and even those who do…will most likely just want to rush through it as fast as possible as with every other dungeon) and won’t be buying BLC keys anyway.

For those people, cheaper waypoints are the only usable thing. Plus, rpg-wise i wouldn’t want a greedy filthy merchant like Evon to get any more power
