As the title says, if you survive to the end of the Southsun Survivor challenge, hunger stacks don’t go away, and there’s no fancy rewards.

In case anyone’s wondering, hunger caps at 6 stacks, and all scavengable items despawn at 4:30 remaining. You need 8 rations at that time to survive to the end.

You don’t win by surviving. You win by killing everyone else.

Wrong. You win by being the last one alive. You can win without killing even one player.

Anyway, Quarktastic is right that the goal isn’t to survive until the timer hits zero.

This is true, but simply surviving doesn’t make the game go by quickly. Camping also gives much less points than being active and killing everyone, thus making it take forever to get the score achievement. I found the best way to have fun is to karka bomb the campers if you die. Follow the active people to get more motes then go to the camper.

more points is earned if one actively aggressively kills or traps other players.
even more so if they continue doing so while dead.

I tried once hiding with a large pile of rations. Got bored to tears. Go active and kill other players, but pick your fights. If/when you eventually die, go to town as a Mist Walker and keep earning points.

You might not be the last survivor, but you will still earn a truckload of points and have much more fun than by just sitting in some bush.
