“During the first weekend, between 9am PDT June 14 and 9am PDT June 17th, a grand fireworks show will repeat every two hours. Players who witness the finale will be awarded a container holding three account-bound commemorative dragon helms, one for each armor class in the game.”

So… why there’s plenty of people which already got the helms?

It seems to be a bug related to overflows. When I got into Lion’s Arch on a overflow map, the Achievement just ticked as completed and gave me the reward. I haven’t opened it myself yet, as I like the idea of witnessing the firework finale before I do actually open it (and it takes up 1 inventory slot instead of 3), but that’s why plenty of people has the helmet(s) already.

Well there are a lot of players in my guild which told happily “Yeah, I just went to Lion’s Arch and got the helms!”… When I asked them to describe me the fireworks show they said they didn’t noticed something particular happening.
So maybe it’s a bug when you enter Lion’s Arch in overflow, but I got in a overflow many times this evening and I never got the achievement to pop-up…

So will this achievement/reward work tomorrow? It seems I’m the only one still missing the new helm!

Yes it will still be up tomorrow.

No one was supposed to have gotten the achievement or the helm yet, that was a bug. But a relatively small number of people did get it and they’re not going to cancel the planned event because some people got the reward early.

Most likely those who got it already just won’t get anything if they do go to the finale. They might get the helm again, but they won’t be getting anything extra.
