Botters in Dragon Ball
Not seen any botters in dragon ball. What is the behavior of these players that is leading you to believe they are botting?
The only problem I have seen is people going afk while in the arena just to get their 20 matches done. (very annoying)
It sounds as if you are referring to afk players, not botters.
And if so, I agree. They are a cancer.
Urgh. a plague. It took me a while to realise at first, because it seemed crazy. And then when I went to report the player for inactivity, there wasn’t an option, only the usual “scammer, goldseller offensive language” category.
As a more general request, can we not get a “PvP – Inactivity” report function? Even if it shows up in PvE content, it should be hard to abuse because the game logs will clearly show if it’s the case. That would help with Dragon Ball and any future PvP games which people might wish to exploit.
It sure is frustrating. Specially when you want to get all the Dragon Bash achievements and miss that one. 12/20 so far.. Frustrating when you have 10 kills, guy bellow you 8 and then 3 guys with 0 kills.. Sucks. Gotta ride it out, its the same for all.
It is a pain but just keep going and you will eventually get it. I have played 19 games and won 11 so not to bad.
What I’ve seen a lot myself, is people being afk, but having autorun on. So you’d randomly see a player run straight into a wall, but obviously be afk. And this is making Dragon Ball really frustrating. There is barely a game without deliberate afk people in it. And they get rewarded for it too!
I think this could be solved if they simply add a requirement to manually enter the arena every time you spawn. Because this would force a player to be behind the keyboard constantly. Also, instead of automatically dropping afk players in the arena after a while, it should simply kick them and replace them with new players. The current system encourages players to be afk.

I have a feeling that since it’s only a month long event, Anet is just going to stay silent on the matter and act as if they saw nothing, until the event is over and nobody complains about it anymore.
Dragon ball is fun as hell and I wish it stayed after dragon bash… if only Anet gave us a way to report afkers so that they could ban them temporarily and then permanently from the mini game…
The last few days I have been attempting to get the last ten wins for the achievement, AFk player/s in every game I join.
I love the idea of Dragon ball but I get no joy from fighting 5v3 most of the time, just want the achievement now so I can forget about the mini game.
They really needed to add a requirement in as stated above to manually enter a game.
Two things reduce the fun that Dragon Ball could possibly be to almost zero: people going afk and uneven teams. Both could easily be remedied by auto team balancing and kicking afkers after one round, I guess both mechanics already exist. Why ANet hasn’t done this for PvP minigames is totally beyond me, I guess they don’t want people to actually play the game.
Worst two things: first getting the 20 rounds done doesn’t even count towards the Dragon Bash meta achievement, so these guys annoy everybody for absolutely no reason. I’m just reporting every afker for botting.
Second, I actually like to play Dragon Ball, but I’ll stop doing it after having won another three rounds when I’ve done the achievement because it’s no fun with these major flaws. Chapeau for screwing up another one ANet.

Even though I like Dragon Ball, the rewards are weak for winning and AFK players ruin the fun.
Got my twenty wins but it was painful when teamed up with AFK drones.
How Anet didn’t see this coming is beyond me. Such an obvious place to AFK farm.
Mini games that they added should either have no achievements attached to them, or be added permanently.
The only reason you have tons of people akitteng through this is they are OCDing about getting every achievement, so they do pvp even if they dont like it. They have no choice but to do it during these weeks because Dragon ball is gone soon.
If it had no achievements, they wouldnt do it.
If it was permanent, they wouldnt all do it these weeks and the occasional single afker isnt as bad as having 3 in every match.
If that was true, they’d play because another achievement requires you to win 20 rounds which is rather unlikely to happen when half the team is afk.
There should be a Dragon Ball Rating System, at the end of each game, you can thumbs up or thumbs down your whole team.
For people with numerous thumbs down should be grouped together.
And people with positive thumbs should be grouped, as a way to show who did a good job, who was active, and not afk or wall running, or whisper harrassing people, to make them stop and reply to messages only to find them and kill them.
Example, auto run on, following someone, Message them: Hi talk to me
they type hello, within those few seconds, you’ve been shot so many times because they were right behind you.
I know it was silly of me, but theres been worse cases on my team of enemie harrassment (this was a team full of active people on both sides) To try and delay the team, its happened to other people in my guild too, who have has random harrassment messages, because they get more attention then a hello message.
