During our investigation of each racial representative we either interrogate or find the corpse of every single representative, but we got no news about the Hylek representative. Why was he left out of the investigation? Am I missing some dialogue about him either voluntarily getting into interrogation, providing proof of his innocence or being assassinated?

I don’t know why else would he left out of this! The frog was the real killer and we accused some pure medic! :P (I know this isn’t the scenario, but I’m curious about him being left out of the process).

I don’t know. I guess it’s just a case of lazy writing. If you think about it, any of the wounded/dead representatives could have been responsible for the effigies’ explosion as well and they’re not being questioned either. I can kind of understand why the five representatives that have fled the scene are our prime suspects. What I can’t understand is why we investigate them and Mai Trin but nobody else.

I can’t reply to the missing Hylek, maybe simply forgotten in the later steps.
[spoiler=Talking about Mai Trin, don’t read if you didn’t finish the Story.]But I think we investigated Mai Trin because she was there when we first got the investigation kit and had to test it on the people around or such.
And well, even though Kiel stated she was only helping, this clearly makes her a subject for that crime. And when it turns out that no one else commited the crime or was involved, it’s just logical step to say it must’ve been her. [/spoiler]

This. When it comes to GW2, assuming lazy writing or it’s a bug will make you right 90% of the time.

Maybe Kiel knew the Hylek weren’t involved for reasons which might be revealed in a future chapter…. then again I’m all for surprises in stories no matter how insane.

(Still waiting for the grawl uprising after they start worshipping a rock or something)
