Dragon Ball Achiv
BP → DR → FA → Mag → BP → FA
You don’t need to do that achievement to get the wings. There are 14 achievements, and you need to do 10.
For my experience, I played 24 games, winning 20 of them. For most of them, we had 2 AFKers on each side, so that was actually pretty even. I had a lot of fun with it, and made Top Player for about 2/3 of the games.
It was fun, although I don’t really feel much drive to go back now. I like the standard combat more than this form of PvP.
Right now the Dragon Ball achievements don’t count towards the 10 required to get the wings. Still not sure if it’s a bug or it’s intended though, anet haven’t said anything yet.
This has got to be the stupidest achiv required for the wings. Win 20 games? Can you pass me what you were smoking when you implemented this? Not everyone is a hardcore mini-game pvp type. This has been the worst experience I have had in my GW life. Counting GW1 days as well. I asume hate will come saying I don’t help in DB. But, any one else feel the same about this achievement? -_-
lol I never like the PvP aspect of the Living Story and Holiday contents, I never complete them. I just go in there and see what it’s all about then I take my leave.
Even if it is required to complete the achievement, I’ll never commit myself in doing it. I rather lose out on the achievement than brainwash myself to believe that I was having fun.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
The Akitten’ing issue has made the game mode really horrible to play, I have just played 3 games and there were 4 afkers in the game. What is the point? If you end up on the team with 3 of the Akitten’s it is not exactly fun to play.
Thanks for the logical thinking ANET, you really did yourselves proud with this whole play and win 20 games achievement, especially with no real Akitten detection
Just so people know, this is from the guild wars 2 teams dragon bash guide.
With the June 11 release, eight new Dragon Bash achievements are available, in addition to the The Dragon Bash Experience meta-achievement, which requires 10 of the possible 14 achievements to complete.
According to that the dragon ball achievements should count.

@dragoness They were akitten for all 10 games? Just having 0 kills doesn’t mean anything. I had about 4 games back-to-back when I get killed almost immediately upon spawning by organized opposite team and in a couple I got 1 kill accidentally :P
Yep, I don’t like this madness but as far as I can tell this “stay through 20 games” achievement still counts against the GetWingsAchievement so you can’t expect people to put their heart into something they hate but have to do cause they want the fancy item
Much like the RNG boxes, it’s all about luck. If you’re put with a team that works well together then great, if not it’s kinda sucky. Just gotta sit it out and hope you get put with a capable enough team to win the next one.
I would have liked to see the win achievement require only 10 wins though. I don’t enjoy the mini games so much. Wintersday was best. Even though I may not need to complete them for the over-arcing achievement I shall still do so purely for the achievement gain, I’m guessing other players are like me in that respect.
well its good that it doesn’t count atm, maybe some of the people sitting in game all day doing nothing might actually realise this and not ruin the game for others. OR they could actually try and help win. Its not like the game is hard.
