Please add a report function similar to the one we had in Guild Wars 1 to kick kitten players who just idle through out the whole game and refuse to play :/
It’s rather unfair and rude for a player to give the other team a free 100-200 points by refusing to fight or move and just be a free kill…..
I just played several matches and the same idling player was there for most or all of them. Sometimes on my team, sometimes on the other. Either way, whichever team ended up with that person was most likely to lose since the idler ended up being an easy kill.
Anyone idling through a match, presumably trying to away-from-keyboard-farm taffy, needs to be automatically kicked out.
(edited by Sir Black.7423)
Theyre trying to farm matches. It’d be real dumb to farm taffy through dragon ball. Either way, it’s annoying as hell to deal with.
Doubt anet will bother to read this but this is starting to get out of hand…. I have only had 2 matches out of the last 4-6 hours of playing dragon ball to where no one was idling….
So many ways this issue can be fixed and resolved,
Vote kicker….
Activity check…..
failing to score a point in 3 minutes…..
not moving in 30 seconds…..
Just frustrating when you are going for the 20 wins and you get stuck with 1-2 slackers who refuse to play and end up causing you the match x___x
This won’t be fixed. I play tpvp and this is a huge issue which hasn’t been addressed since launch they aren’t going to start addressing it because of a minigame pvp
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THIS.
Every match has 2-3 afkers and the winning team is decided by the side that has FEWER Akitten PLAYERS. Lock out players who give up or allow players to report afkers similar to GW1’s dishonorable. This minigame is just PAINFUL to play right now, it NEEDS a vote kick.
Agree! Kick the hell out the akittens!
Lots of fixing ideas here, choose anything, but make ’em go! Please!
75% of my team in 10 gameas was akitten (a)(f)(k)…… my mark 1/10. Crabb Toss was 9/10
OMFG akitten censored?
Did you spell it with periods and it thought you were masking? Let me try without.
akitten
it: Well I’ll be. But yes, to your original point, I’m sure that would happen.
If it makes you feel any better, while I like WvW, I’m not a big fan of smaller PvP, when it starts to feel personal, but the games don’t bother me ‘as’ much. I’m not very good at it, but the 4 games I played yesterday (I was going to do 4 a day so I didn’t get burned out), I tried ‘really’ hard and helped me team win 3 times.
Granted, I was never better than 4th or 5th in tally, but I tried!
Edit 2: Awesome. I think it though the ‘Ed’ was on the end of the other word it thought it needed to filter. Understandable, if it thought the first part should be censored.

So, same old problem that used to occur in GW1 – but now putting them back into the arena just makes them an easy kill for the opposition and unbalances the game even further as the opposition is able to score off of them.
Can we have a report or kick feature please or better still, any player who remains idle in the base is kicked from the game.
If you can’t be bothered to actually put even a minimal effort into doing an achievement – sod off and stop ruining other peoples opportunity to have a fair game.
This game is great for some reason it brings me back to my Quake days. But the idle people are ruining it.. and its getting worse. They need to make people at least try, and not coast through while causing distress to other players.
sort it out Anet, supposedly GW1 fixed this problem by a report feature. You did make that game as well didn’t you?
-signed.
this is needed
I agree, a report feature would be great!
- signed.
I come to the forums to report this kittening and find forums already started please need report / kick / leeching function in Dragonball arena. From now on I’m reporting them as botters please do something….. Thanks.
Yes please. Some people actually said in game they were going away from keyboard in dragon ball over night for the rewards.
PS – Why is the abbreviated version of “away from keyboard” censored?
Hopefully anet will consider adding this before the event is over

Hopefully Anet will sort this before the weekend!
I am starting to notice too many players are going akitten every round. I came into one game recently I had to leave immediately because the score board was 460 to 0. This isn’t making the game fun to play if you are the only player active on the team. I do not want to abuse the report button for stuff like this. Can there be a timer to kick these players out?
For an example if the player is akitten for 30 secs or 1 minute. The player will be automatically booted from Dragon Ball.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THIS.
No really, add it.
Unlike sPvP or Crab Toss, people Akitteng this event is actually getting in the way of fun competition.
Ahh okay thanks, can a moderator please merge it with that thread?
Don’t let up on the demands for a report option for akitten “players”.
Now that this issue is having a negative effect on PVE players too, maybe we can get something done.
sPvP and tPvP players have been dealing with akers and leavers from the start. With this mini game, the rest of the players in GW gets to see how frustrating, and unfair this issue is.
Players need to be punished for ruining the game experience for other players. Anet needs to get off their butts and do something. We need a report option. We need the dishonorable hex from GW1 back.
I also find it funny how the form is filtering “(a) (f) (k)”. Even the forum censorship software knows that these cancerous jerks need removal.

Amen!!!

This, and for people who just kittening stand there and let themselves get killed, it’s annoying.
I just figure they are botting to not get kicked… so I report them for such. Dunno if anything ever gets done about it though /shrug
GW2 sPVP format is a joke. It doesn’t kick people Akitteng, it has no penalties for leaving (longer que time, ban, etc.) and you can’t play with your friends. Absolutely, awful design that most pvp type games have moved past in the year 2013.
while there is no excuse for doing this, its because of the achievements that are part of the meta. This makes people who have zero interest in the activity participate just so they can get the achievement and therefore the meta. This time this is made worse by the win 20 games one. I know lots of people just leave the game when there team is behind by 20-30 points and re-queue, Overall anet should just stop adding PvP achievements to metas (or at-least significantly decrease the amount required 5 games and 3 wins etc).
I usually don’t do this but since no one seems to know how to use the search function…. bump!!
Hi guys, I played the Dragon Ball Arena around 40 times and I noticed that it is full of leechers. The problem is that, if you don’t move out of your team base in 10 seconds, you are kicked out into the arena. Well, if you are a leecher (and it is full of them) your presence into the arena is a great problem, because enemy’s team-players can kill you in a moment, gaining “free” points for victory. So, my solution is: instead of kicking the leechers into the arena, let them remain ingame but into the base. Here they will be safe and unkillable, so points are not given “for free” to the enemy’s team. Otherwise, kick them out of the arena at all, so they will loose the will to “leech”. What do you say? Is it a fixable problem? Thank you.

I’m wondering why there’s no report option in PvP or minigames for leeching. It was really annoying playing Dragon Ball tonight and seeing one person taking up space on a side, though they were obviously Akitten. Leeching is a problem. It means whoever has that person on their side is down a player and will probably lose.
Being that one of the achievements is 20 wins, it’s just a waste of time. And it’s not fun to lose if you’re losing because some idiot is standing their, Akitten getting their achievement for playing 20 games.
There should be a way to report leechers.
I Second this. I mean COME ON ANET! You had a function like that in the first game. However I do realize you have better and more important things to do….So…Yeah take ya’lls time
This happened to me yesterday in a dungeon. The typical funny that stays akitten the final boss. Pathetic.
I usually report it as botting, since technically botting is a way of using a script to have a character avatar perform an action for gain in the absence of player effort.
In this case the script is: “Stand still, push no buttons” in order to farm something without putting in any effort (To everyone else’s detriment)

I reported it as a bot, then felt I might get in trouble for reporting it undre teh wrong thing, so I sent a message to support explaining it.

Except in a dungeon you can kick people that are akitten
Dragon Ball, you’re stuck with them and are almost guaranteed to lose your game.
I dont understand it when it comes to the Dragonball mini-game.
You get one achievement for 20 games and another for 20 wins, why not just play and try to kill 2 birds with one stone? On average you will complete 10 of the wins in the time it takes you to do the games.
I’m assuming people are just giving up on the wins bit?

We had two leechers on our team in one round, and we still won (The enemy team appeared to have 1 leecher, and our team were just that much more proficient that per-person we killed twice as many players each); so, while a leecher is a dead weight, they may still get wins even while akitten.
I’m not sure there’s a mechanic for it, but something needs to be done about the AFKs in dragon ball. it’s terrible, and clearly only being done as a means to quickly complete the achievement(s) or worse, to troll everyone who really wants to be in there playing.
Of course there’s a solution. Auto kick for being akitten more than x seconds.
I thought that was supposed to already be in, based on the developer stream from Monday…

The only thing I’d heard was that if you didn’t move for X seconds, it teleports you onto the field.

Yep, which is a terrible idea because it just gives the other team free kills. Also really, the shorthand for Away From Keyboard gets censored and changed to AKitten? Come on now.
Its gonna happen when there a shiny achievement in pvp
not everyone likes to pvp
im terrible at pvp so i ran round pressing 1 when someone wasnt running circles round me and faceplanting often end result i got called a leech by afew in mapchat and reported
i tried but really i dont care.im not a pvper..got my 20 wont go back

Nope, that’s not what I’m talking about.
This person didn’t move at all, not one inch. If you don’t move, the game teleports you out into the world. The person was a free kill.
Trying and not doing well is NOT leeching. Going Akitten to get an achievement is.

I’m not great at Dragon Ball, but I usually wasn’t the worst either – regardless, those times when I just kept dying, nobody complained by lack of skill and instead complained about the one or two players who were leeching. Effort is effort, and if you are at least trying, most people won’t pay you much mind.
This is why you don’t put a mini game in a meta achievement or give item rewards for completing said mini game achievements. Mini games interest some of us, like me, about as much as what some random guy pulled out of his nose last Tuesday.
That being said, I abhor people who leech off of others progress and achievements. This should be considered a form of botting, I agree with that assessment.
my first dragonball game we had two leechers so i totally agree op. we lost but i still had fun figuring out the game second game had a different team and we won
It’s mainly b/c they tied the achievement to it. Admittedly I considered doing it myself for them since I do not find the water downed format fun, but my conscience won’t allow me to.
Just out of curiosity will it kick akitten players like the regular game does after a certain time frame? I am aware that it places them in the middle of the arena, but am not so sure about full kick.

Yah, teleporting you into the arena automatically is the worst possible solution. It actually makes the Akitten’ers even worse problems, because the enemy team doesn’t even have to jump into your teams starting zone to get those free kills (which might mean ending up facing other players who have respawned, making it risky), all they have to do is wait around the arena and wait for the Akitten’ers to pop up.
I completed the achievements yesterday after about 30% of my matches being on the team with someone away from keyboard. The first time I saw it I realized it’s going to get worse and worse over time until the game is completely unplayable, so I just pushed through to finish instead of putting it off and waiting for AN to come up with a solution.
I don’t know, that leecher was there for a LOT of games. Not one or two…maybe eight or nine. It was lousy.
