Big thx to all guys from Anet for this minigame! After incredibly frustrating and badly designed Crab Toss I was bit worried about this but this get back my lost faith:-) I hope it will stay here forever and you make it competetive because it deserve it.

Forever? Lol. This is temporary content. Dragon = related to the Dragon Bash festival so only temporary. There is more other stuff they should have made permanently available which was much better… but they did not do it. So I doubt they will make Dragon Ball permanent.

I enjoyed it alot until they figured you could cheat.

I was having fun until the easy exploit started to pop up in just about every match. If they fix the exploit, I’ll play again. If the night goes by with out a fix, then ANet will have lost even more good will.

Played once. Really enjoyed it.

Heard in guild chat that there was a cheat involving mango pies.

Not playing again until its fixed. I expect that will be soon>?

More often than not, you log in and get into a game where your team has 0 points, the opponents 150+. Since I don’t like starting a game, knowing it will end in a loss, I quit them and search for a fresh one, but none available.

It isn’t fun playing it anymore. Perhaps some fixes to improve queues?

The regen food thing is fixed btw..

I don’t find myself enjoying it really. The arena space is terribly small and the power ups don’t feel fun or anything.

And then there’s the Away From Keyboard that gets sent to the center of the arena to feed the other team points.

It’s pretty fun but as others have said very laggy and full of exploiters at the moment.

Lag, Dc’d 3x since this morning. Blech. Have played 8 times. Impossible to make any pts, and other side score rising too rapidly to be fair. Some kind of cheating going on atm. The process is fun but is really disappointing to never make any pts while being run over by mob from other side. Also, when res you lose your extra skills and can never get any new xtra skills – at least I have never found any. Gonna lose all players but the kids on this one. Waste of time.

It’s really fun though if it does not lag and people are not exploiting with that food buff. Luckily I only have seen 1 exploiter but the lag spikes in a 5v5 map i’m like really Anet you can do better And don’t blame the lag on us since outside that game its just fine, well except WvW ofc even on small scale fights it always lag there :P.

I just miss the ability to get crazy achievements for these like in GW1. Those were insanely ‘grinds’ but it was fun once you obtained ‘em. Win 20 matches is nothing and you don’t get any title for doing it.

But it is awesome indeed.

fantastic may be going too far, but its a pretty fun minigame.
Sadly its full of exploits and bugs. And will be taken away after a month.

Why they cant leave this stuff in is beyond me (when they fix it)

It’s OK. It’s not as good as the Wintersday game, which had three weapons/classes, profession-based abilities and some genuine strategic thinking behind it. I could play that stuff all day long. This is mostly just running around spamming 1, and the rewards are pretty rubbish even if you win.

And we’re STILL forced to play Random Wars instead of Guild Wars.

I like it ‘cus you can carry most games. Unlike in pvp you need a team to not get frustrated. In this minigame, if you’re good you can make the difference. Which I like.

This is interesting to me because I’ve played at least five games today that were complete underdog turn-around wins.

I disagree. You can’t “carry” as a 2v1 will ALWAYS result in the 2 beating the 1. The winner almost ALWAYS comes down to which team has fewer afkers and each match has at least 2-3 akitten players (the entire match).

GW1 dragon bash was much more skill oriented (here you can just set auto-attack to 1 and run in circles, the balls are heatseeking so strafing is pointless)

Still at work, but I’m looking forward to giving Dragon Ball a try tonight when I get home. I’m just glad that there’s no more achievements that relies purely on luck like Crabtacular!
