Dragon Ball, meh
Seems like it’s just endless running only to die in a couple of hits. Not really much skill. And, the first team to get the most power ups is just going to roll the other team.
Wasn’t the Winter one was better with the different roles in it? I dislike frenetic button mashing PvP like this.
Yeah, this is just nonsense. Whichever team loses a player first loses the entire match.
Not saying it requires pro skillness but a clueless person is still easy too beat and most people forget to stay as a team instead they go rambo’ing around. I still had times i shaked 3 enemies of me with timed dodges and a bit of luck the healing notes just respawned :P Nevertheless I find it entertaining.

Yes the GW1 dragon arena made more sense here you just spam skills because of the low couple with the small arena you die pretty much instantly if facing more than 1 player. There is also the issue of putting players into a game that has already started. You end up on the losing side 99% of the time down by over 100pts making a comeback nearly impossible

Let the enemy players follow u, lay a trap… stop behind a wall and put your 5 skill then throw ur number 2 skill and keep hitting them.
Its good if u know what your doing, its button smashing if u don’t
dragon spheres don’t home on targets, strafe to your advantage. you know, like in dragon arena
The dragon spheres track too well, and I swear they sometimes hit you mid-dodge. The Dragon Arena in GW1 was fun because the attacks didn’t track that well, and if you made a mistake you were dead. It also felt more like a coordinated effort.
You can carry pretty much your team in this game. Which makes it more awesome imo. Unlike in pvp where you pretty much need your team/comp. Theres more room for individual skill here.
Just learn the map layout, the skill spawns, learn to dodge and it’ll go much better. I like the fast-paced combat. I just wish there would be a title for this.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
It’s about sticking together to take down people who split from the pack, I think. If you play solo you will lose.
Only problems so far: It’s buggy. I get hit through walls constantly for no apparent reason.
Abilities seem to not land or land when they shouldn’t. Also, you cannot catch up in this game. If you are over 100 points behind it’s over just sit there. Teammates don’t show on your minimap making it impossible to figure out where they action is.

I was thinking, maybe it should be more paint ball? Where each hit builds points, instead of diminishing HP. Where there is no killing and the subsequent 15 sec time handicap. See… positives, not negatives
Also, I’d think it’d be more fun to get covered in paint! Especially coming out into LA totally covered in it. Then, having to dip in the Mystic Forge (which I love that we can do) to rinse it off. See, now THAT’s fun to me I’d wear that paint all night
I’m seeing some real BS in this minigame. I dunno if it’s by bad coding or by something else, but shots are hitting through walls, instantly teleporting somewhere when you weren’t there before, and players that are somehow tracking your every move when you grab the stealth thing is just part of the current BS I’m seeing. I’ve never gotten this kitten ed off at something in this game before.

You haven’t figured it out yet. Give it more time. There really is more going on here.
A good player will carry their team (unless the other team also has a couple good players) which makes it pretty obvious that there is skill involved. And, those good players are easy to spot because they always end up with the most kills, even if their team loses a match.
Oh, one tip: Endless running is a bad idea. You just die tired. If you have to run, run to your friends or health. As soon as you get to either, turn and fight. While fighting, you want to be doing less running and more strafing, dodging, ducking in and out of cover.
But here’s my body – So rez me maybe?
Unfortunately Xavori, even good players cannot stand up against what I was seeing often…PvP style zerging, meaning an entire team focus firing on one person at a time.

The Winter’s day PVP minigame was leaps and bounds better than Dragon ball. I don’t know what they were thinking when they made this, its a huge step in the wrong direction.
I had a lot of fun, but maybe I was just lucky. I played 22 games and got my 20 wins achievement, including some very close games and one great come from behind match.
I enjoy the mini game and it is a lot better than crab toss that’s for sure. I like when the scores are close and then you start see teams doing group work than being scattered going after someone who pwned them.
I don’t see it as being random at all… And the idea that whoever gets the first kill makes no sense to me at all and it completely false. I had several matches where my team pulled together when we were 200 points behind and manage to win.
It is zany, but it’s a controlled zany. I really enjoy it!
Although, I will be honest and say that I think I did enjoy the Halloween and Christmas mini games just a tad more. But I still need to get the hang of this one a little more xP
It’s pretty much an arena shooter. Skill manifests itself in players learning the arena and all its facets.
Part-time Kittenposter
It’s still pretty mindless running around. And yes, as a WvW’er I’m not knew to Zerging
There is something odd to being hit. I wish the combat log was functional. I’ve been wiped while jumping down out of LoS. The shots must be tracking or going through solid object. It’s also unclear if some traits are functioning in some form or fashion.
One things for certain, in such small quarters, smaller characters are a benefit.
The wintersday game was a lot more fun to play, mostly I think because it was co-operative and not competitive.
I do like dragonball compared to the Crab Toss though, crab toss was a mess.
Not worth the time.
I was dead in 1 second.
Tried again, lasted 5-6 seconds
Tried again 10
Decided if I wanted that much abuse, I’d just call my ex-wife and tell her that those pants DID make her look fat and got the hell out of that worthless, totally un-fun piece of puppy.
Sheesh, I have never, ever, played a game with so much dying in it. It’s expected. It’s part of the “fun”.

Either you’re running around in circles hitting random player dodging at wrong times or you just not good at it. Of course zergs are bad so I can see your point in that view.
Rewards are far worse than even fractal. GGs
Anwar, sorry you had that experience. If you jumped into the end of a segment, yeah you’ll get wiped hard.
A lot of PvP’ers in this game have no clue how utterly obnoxious they can be. IRL, there would be serious repercussion for those kinds of actions. Fun is the last thing on their mind. It’s why I wish the dev’s wouldn’t cater to them so much.
It think my idea of paint ball would have been as skilled yet, more lighthearted and fun. There’s nothing funny about this one to balance the experience. Yet, it is better than crab toss. That one makes no sense at all….
Ugh, found another problem in this game, players who akitten purposefully to make their team lose. I’ve already reported 5 different people for this tonight alone.

I like this game a lot.
It’s reminiscent of old FPS games to me, where you have to memorize power up locations and jump pads.
The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t a reward for playing. No titles and no loot.
