Dragon Bash= Parody of world bosses?
Maybe…or perhaps it’s just a reference to how societies in wartime would reduce huge threats to more ridiculous levels in order to remove fear and raise morale. It’s hard to be afraid of something when you’re laughing at it.

“REDICULOUS!”
Not to sound like a rude veteran but…
This was done in Factions (gw1) that parodied demons from the Realm of Torment. This was, of course, after the real nightfall invasion that started the Dragon Festival.
After the initial “invasion” (with the real Fury and all that..) the npcs in Factions had “hired” actors to replay the events. This would lead to the actors having the same name (and skills I think) of the original demons that invaded.
Long story short: demons came, failed, npcs hire actors to parody them
Pssssshhhh…. Gw2 newcomers.. lol

lol have you read the quest text for them now that they have actors? It’s hilarious, i kinda hope they have some similar things like that in this one xD

After reading through the .dat info, it revealed there will be pinatas in the upcoming Dragon Bash update.
Just a hunch here, but considering most the playerbase look at Shatterer, Tequatl, and Claw of Jormag as big Dragon Pinatas we bash on for loot, is it possible that inspired ANET to parody the world bosses?
Nah, I just think the GW2 devs played Rift during the Carnival of the Ascended…..which had dragon loot pinatas scattered across the world….
Oh lookie, another Lion’s Arch festival. Why did ANet even bother to make the other cities if they weren’t going to be used?

Super Adventure Box was Rata Sum.

Touché. Actually I wonder if that’s another reason why I liked that silly box so much.
As LumAnth said, Dragon Festival began in GW1 and had actors doing a goofy reenactment of previous events! I hope it is done in a similar fashion for Dragon Bash.

lions arch is the ‘free city’ so all races can get together so that’s why all the events are there, the Wintersday event toured all cities and the Halloween event was in lions arch because that’s where the royal family of kryta used to live till it got flooded by zhaitan

Was that a Harry Potter reference by any chance??

Only took 10 days, but someone finally got it.
