So i just finish my instant for the Ceremony My dragon bash exp. is at 8. However, there is still it seem 2 more needed to be done before i can get shatter wing. Bug? or they decided not to do 8?

Nobodies has changed so yea looks like they really messed up on that one if they haven’t actually implemented what they said they did. Well either that or they want to mess people around, which is also likely seeing as they said the dragonball achievements would count and didn’t mention anything about it till a week later.

Glad to see I’m not the only one – tried re-logging but it didn’t seem to help. Seems it was a “planned change” they were announcing. Hope they patch soon..probably should have patched it before the effigy event went live. There’s a bunch of confused and frustrated people in LA atm.

Yeah what kitten me off the most was the dragon ball arena achievement. i spent a good 2.5 hr for the kitten 20 wins and after that anet decided that all the time i wasted was for their enjoyment.

It’s a lie, you guys did not finish this in that update. I also finished the new story now and i got 8 achievements done. I dont have the wings yet and it says i have that achievement done for 80%

I think my time in dragon ball was well spent- i was initially under the impression dragon bash was to require 12 achievements to get the shattered wings but this was change to 10 before the june 11th release. Have some patience and if they do require ten then wait 2 days.

I’m amazed there’s not even a title associated with dragonball, like the crab toss event (or is there and I just missed it?). Then at least if you forced yourself through it to contribute to the meta achievement, you would have something to show for it.

You will get your wings; the lack of patience on this matter is disturbing. Is it really that big of a deal that you can’t have your wings in the current implementation for 2 more days? I understand frustration with the incorrect patch notes and sloppy oversight but what is missing due to this mistake is minuscule.

If you feel you’ve been grinding your way through the holiday you should probably not be doing the holiday events. Unless you are grinding for a specific item like the wings in which case you have to express your willingness to Anet’s terms in getting them.

Anet’s terms are CONSISTENTLY changing though. They say one thing, and then a day later they say another thing, and then a completely different thing later on.

I think the main point here is not being impatient, it’s the fact they state 1 thing and mean something completely different somehow. I have a funny feeling they said they will change it but actually will change their mind or wont even look at fixing it for a week just like the dragonball achievements. I know they have a lot on their plate with updates and bugs but I would put the implemented content fixes above the future content any day.

You don’t understand how i feel after spenting 2.5hr and not get anything for reward/show that i did the dragon arena achievements. i don’t even care if they want 14/14 achievement to get the wing, i would of finish all of them to get the wing.

I agree, and if you look at the OP the tone wasn’t really frustration or impatience, it was confusion. And I think one or two slip ups like this people wouldn’t be really bothered by (or they’d probably forget very quickly), but it happened in southsun and feels like its happening over and over in this event. They are pumping out a lot of content consistently, and I think it may exceed their ability to adequately test by themselves. It really calls out for some sort of PBE, or maybe reducing the frequency of content patches. I love the living story, but I probably wouldn’t mind an event every other month, or more drawn out events like F&F if it meant less misinformation and less mid-event patches and fixes.

Maybe the main point of the events (and the game) is to have fun? I want the wings too but just play through the event as it’s released and you’ll get them. If you’re only playing the game for the rewards then it’s possible you may need to re-examine why you’re playing the game.

Anet should know that’s always the case and plan accordingly, and realise that the majority of people will probably move to another game if let down enough and from the sound of it a lot of people have got to that point or getting close. I’m not really talking about me, I do get annoyed when someone says 1 thing and means another, but I’m in no way gonna quit. You just need to look around to see people are getting a bit fed up. Seeing as this is only a game I understand their reasoning for leaving if it’s not worth their time.

This is a simple fix that shouldve given all of us our wings, instead you chose to drag it out for whatever reason .What kind of game are you playing? oh please… i’m just telling them their update wasnt working. and i’m giving my opinion. because i do think its a very very bad thing that if you have an update to fix something and it isnt fixed with that update! Dont even talk about my lack of patience, you have no clue at all…

Also wouldn’t be the first time they’ve posted update notes that they’ve changed their minds on at a later date. The only difference here is that they’ve acknowledged this as a bug and stated they’re working on it but they haven’t done that before, with the most blindingly obvious example being the dragonball achievements. They annoy people – they lose customers, and I understand now why people would get annoyed.

I like this content every 2 weeks deal but like others have said, I’d rather have content every few months that was refined and tested, and actually was fun getting to the reward. All this monthly stuff is a grind though, holograms, pinatas, it’s just rushed and then when you don’t even get the reward from it when they say because they either change their mind or don’t test their content I can see why people would quit.

Maybe I’m not the norm but I’m not going to stop playing Guild Wars 2 or stop supporting ArenaNet because of a few bugs. If I stopped playing every game that has bugs, I’d never play another game again. I have yet to encounter a “no longer going to be a customer” level issue with this game. There are things I’m not happy about (e.g., the terrible RNG boxes) but so far they’re easy enough to avoid.

Thanks for the update! But these 1st world problems are nerve wracking! I might have to go outside! Worse yet I might turn into one of those fast fit running zombies from the upcoming movie World War Y…. or the unimaginable… I might turn into Brad Pitt if this doesn’t get fixed today. Honest!

Why does it have to be a conspiracy? How about they screwed the pooch again and it’s getting old. There were only 2 things in the several MB hot fix yesterday and this was one of them. How did it get screwed up?

I’m not gonna stop playing because of this either, it’s annoying but yea. My point is a lot of people have stopped playing for this exact reason and Anet aren’t really doing anything about it. You only have to look around on the forum to see that bugs like this and the conspiracy theories that follow are somewhat justified, and that people are getting too annoyed by things like this. I will eventually get annoyed by it too, and I know for a fact when the next set of MMO’s come out I will focus more on the one I enjoy most. Depending on what is in the next content updates, I don’t think it will be GW I choose to play, but I could be happily mistaken however that is the reason a lot of people leave.

All of the new wave of mmos are being pushed out and instead of focusing on content that will be able to compete with them, we get temporary dragged out garbage like this that always ends up being bugged and unfulfilling. Good luck to Anet that’s for sure.

Nobody forced you to play Dragon Ball. I realized it was lame after a few games and gave up on it, there were obviously going to be enough of ach’s to get 10 for the wings without doing any Dragon Ball at all.

That’s something else entirely, and I agree that it’s getting old. It’s frustrating as a customer. As a developer, I’m a little more forgiving given the tight time schedule they’re on to develop this stuff. Having said that, QA seems to be dropping the ball a lot this year.
