I’ve found 3 effigy’s in total and I’m at 6% competition. I’ve been here waiting for it to stop burning for about 10 minutes. How is anyone ever going to find the will power to stand and do nothing for hours and hours to get this achievement?

Or is this yet ANOTHER fail update that will be patched sometime tomorrow? or the next day? I sure hope not because I can’t remember an update that went out that didn’t require another one anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours later.

Check other areas.

Check other level 1-15 and 15-25 areas. I’ve already found 12 effigies and I only just started searching 20 minutes ago. Also, try using different characters if you want to increase your total faster…

There are 3 effigies per explorable areas in the level 1-35 zones. You can also guest to reset the effigies.

But, I agree burning 50 is a tad much with no benefit other than a health boost.

I think their in all the same places the holograms are, so it will take a bit of porting around and but I don’t think you’ll ever need to stand and wait for them to respawn. There are 3 in each area, visible on the map, so once you’ve done all 3 you can move on.

No point doing the effigy anyway. Its not counting towards the meta achievement, just like the Dragon Ball ones aren’t. Stop wasting your time.

Any proof of this? As far as I know the devs had said nothing about the Effigies not counting for the Meta-event.

Yea I figured it out, Anet just posted that they are in the area’s leading up to L.A. which in fact they are not in the area’s leading up to it, they are in area’s leading up to the area’s leading up to L.A.

Actually most of the areas that contain Effigies are leading up to the area of Lion’s Arch.

The whole place in the map is Lion’s Arch after all, not just the center of the city.

Actually most of the areas that contain Effigies are leading up to the area of Lion’s Arch.

The whole place in the map is Lion’s Arch after all, not just the center of the city.

The fact is that areas leading up to Lion’s Arch ARE the areas (in most cases) that the Effigies spawn in.

I’m just going to pass on Effigies. Sitting at seven achievements. I’ll just finish up the story ones tomorrow, and bam wings. But I’m not going for all the achievements, so no need to waste my time.

I just completed the effigy achievement and it definitely counts toward the total. Have you burned 50 effigies?

I can also confirm that it definitely counted for me.

You may want to check that you did burn 50 effigies, and also keep in mind that the two Dragon Ball Arena achievements do not count.

As far as I was able to tell there are 30 effigies to be burned. Once they reset i’ll finish up, but I found 30 unique effigies. Remember you need 50 for the achievement to count towards the meta, and I can confirm it does count since 10 people in guild chat just confirmed it upon completion.

There are indeed 30 effigies in total that can be burned on a single character. It’s possible to wait 30 minutes or so and go back and burn them again. Or you can guest on another server or use a different character to get the remaining 20.

I’ve attached screenshots confirming that this achievement counts. The current possible total is 9 achievements that count toward The Dragon Bash Experience achievement. Presumably, the story achievement that will be available tomorrow will bring the total to 10.

This was by far the EASIEST and FASTEST achievement to obtain even if this style (which most of “Dragon Bash” has contained) is the least fun to do.

Took well less than 1 hour, required only doing Queensdale, Kessex Hills, Gendarran Fields, and Wayfarer Foothills across my main, and a very small amount on an alt.

To be exact. I took my main through Queensdale logging out at each effigy and guesting on two other servers before moving on to the next effigy. Then logged on my alt to do all three in Wayfarer Foothills the same way. From there I logged back into my main and repeated Queensdale for another 9pts before moving on to the other above areas using the same technique and ending in Wayfarer Foothills needing only about 3-5 points (in all the guesting I missed one or two somewhere).

It really is by far just way easy if not a little annoying.
