Fireworks: Who did not get credit?
I don’t think i would want to wait a year to catch a 5 minute window i may or may not be able to catch

I don’t either but it would relieve some frustration over a stupid kittening situation. I support ANet wherever I can and this makes me feel like they don’t give a kitten .
Same fail here. Spend few hours in LA (not overflow) at Grand Plaza, at weekend. Saw few fireworks and… Nothing! So much to win. Srsly, AN, please, send people hats and add points or fix and repeat event. Thanks.
I fall into this category. I think I was in the overflow when it happened. I’m a little mad about it, but I also don’t really expect anything to be done about it. I’m one of the few that likes the look of the hat.
Yes I would like the fireworks to happen again THIS year, if only for a day, tell me the day and I’ll be there!

Same here… I was in overflow first… got the option to move to normal server and did… then people said to me it just happened… so i let went around LA to get the pinata achievment but the fireworks never started… do it again ANET or give me my helmet.
btw the dragonbash event was more confusing and looked more rushed then the other events… sometimes i just didn’t know what to do due to a lack of information
ow and i still haven’t found a dragon skin even though i’ve found more then 500 coffers… unlucky perhaps but i would like to find one before it ends…

I understand being frustrated over buggy events if that was the case. However, I don’t think that kind of argument is going to get you much of a result.
Opening 500 coffers is very low. The ticket has a drop rate of around 0.01% according to people. You have less that 5% chance of getting it with your first 500 coffers. You have about a 63% chance if you open up 10,000 coffers. Again, RNG plays a large role.
The fireworks occurred every 2 hours. If you had asked when it last happened, then you could’ve determined when you need to be on. Another way people got this was by having themselves auto-run into a corner and do something else (watch a movie, eat, sleep, etc). They then got the achievement when they came back.
Leaving and missing it is not Anet’s fault. The three days that it up was more than enough time to get this done.
It not like you are missing a title or somthink, just better luck next year (=
I also had real life commitments that prevented me from being able to get the achievement and helm (yes, there is such a thing as real life commitments that don’t allow you to play for a few days – I guess some people are so wrapped up in their gaming addiction that they don’t realise this).
While I’m not demanding the helm or a repeat of the finale, I must say – it’s kind of disappointing to not be able to get the achievement/helm simply because I couldn’t get online for a couple of days on some arbitrary dates, despite being a dedicated and loyal player who has been around since day one and supported the game with gem store purchases and the like.
It just seems stupid to restrict it to one weekend, for no actual reason. Especially calling it a “finale”, even though it was in the middle of the event. There really was no genuine reason to have the fireworks only be around on those three days. It’s just yet another bonehead decision by ArenaNet.
Some people on here and other threads that this is probably going to be a yearly event (in game they call it the first ANNUAL dragon bash). Still if you remember from gw1 the yearly event usually gave you a different reward ever time. Also if you think about it, it would be pointless for everyone that did it last year to do it again if the reward is the exact same thing. Now on that note they might make it like a ticket where you can pick which one you want from previous years or the new one. I’m hope they do this and also make it easier to get more than one, help us altaholics out. Maybe not attach it to a achievement and give it to each character one time when they are present during the event (like the fireworks).

The fireworks achievement completed for me on the first day of the event, several days before the actual fireworks show was supposed to happen.
I never saw the show, as far as I’m aware, and noone else in my guild managed to finish it though we spent a lot of time in Lion’s Arch looking for it.
And you may quote me on that.

A lot of us saw the heads up and were there is the major problem. The 5 minute window in the 2 hours was screwing some over and most ended up in overflow where the event time was different,
would be awesome if they did the fireworks again at the end of the festival no?
i too failed to recieve my helm, but it was more my fault….you know having work and family gatherings on the weekend..
My husband didn’t get it. I did and oddly enough middle of the week before the weekend. It would be nice if they extended the opportunity before the end and let people know about it in game with out having to research it. Also when I did see the fireworks they were almost not noticeable at least to me.
I’m sure plenty of people were unable to attend it. Why not just make it an instance for people who had real life commitments at the time? That, or ANet could extend some good faith by repeating the fireworks show on the weekend of the 4th until Dragon Bash ends on the 7th.
Can we please either get a confirmation that you will have another fireworks display for one day at the end of event or confirm that we suck, we missed it, and we are SOL. I am sick of now checking the forums daily to see if you ANET has replied to this issue….

I have a topic complaining that I did not get the box that had the helms from watching the fireworks, so I’ll join you guys.
Seriously, I am so upset because it looked really cool.
Not only did it look cool, I have been waiting for my “dragon mask” since this game released…

Didn’t realize it was a limited time event either… I only play for like 1 hour per day and I mostly do my dailies. I figured the fact that there was an achievement there meant that the show thing will be available at other times too… guess not :-\
And the fact that I haven’t seen anything from Anet saying whoops sorry we will work on getting better information to you sooner regarding timed/limited events as well as their notes from recent update “all dragon bash events continue (not including fireworks show)” is a little unnerving. I know Anet is better than this, have a heart, one last fireworks Hurray @ end of dragon bash would be fine with me, and everyone that’s posted here I’m sure!

It the patch notes for Sky Pirates they stated that all Dragon Bash content is still available except for the fireworks one. I think that’s your answer.
I watch the fireworks while in Lions Arch. I just wasn’t at the correct spot so did not get the achievement.
