So I just spend my “hard earned” gold to buy these Holographic Dragon Wings to use them in PvP (It’s pretty much all I do lately in GW2) just to notice everytime I use the skill Ride the Lightning the Wings dissapear… I can only get them back by un and re-equipping of the Wings which can’t be done within the match itself so I pretty much wasted my money..

Just wanted to say in case they’re not aware of this bug ;<

The southsun flower back piece I noticed disappears on my ranger when she uses the axe & torch skills (but not longbow). but they go away and come back. I’m sure they’ll get these odd bugs fixed soonish.

Sounds like the same problem necros have when they use their shroud (I know of the necro cause my GF’s loses the karka tentacle back every time)

That’s a different issue than what’s being shown in this thread, I believe. That happens with thrown weapons, which for some reason make your back piece and all of your weapons disappear for a short time. Maybe its to simulate the throw effect (throw item, it disappears from your hand) and accidentally applies to all weapons / back items or something, I dunno. I’ve made suggestions and bug reports about fixing it because its pretty visually annoying, especially as you said with Ranger Axe which is being thrown constantly so your back item is constantly appearing and disappearing.

What this thread is saying, I believe, is that certain skills like Ride the Lightning make the item disappear entirely. Like, its completely gone forever until you unequip / unshow the item and reequip. Different and more annoying issue. Hopefully it gets fixed (hopefully they both get fixed really, but this one has priority probably).

This is a really annoying issue and I hope it gets fixed.

Engineers have the same problem with kits.

If you use a kit skill, it gives you an ugly hobobackpack that removes your backpiece. If you go back to your main weapon and take off the hobobackpack, your backpiece doesn’t show up.

I noticed that too but they came back a minute or so after the animation was done, maybe less I didn’t time it. I didn’t have to do anything with equipment.
