I really would like to gamble some serious money, can we bet 100g on a Moa plz?

Just kidding of course, I do not think that you should trust me, even though I think I am very trustworthy. I am a random to you! Also, I do not have 140 gold, so I would need to pay you back in increments lol.

This should have worked with tickets you can sell to vendors like in GW1’s Boardwalk, but with variable amounts. You get tickets, bet the tickets themselves, picking the amount you want, and win based on how many you bet.

That way people could get the achievement with minimum bets of a single ticket (15 copper), and whoever is enough of an idio, eh… I mean, derange…. eh… I mean stup… Aw… forget it… let’s just say that whoever wanted to bet more could do it.

Then you just can sell back the tickets to any vendor for your winnings, or exchange them for prices, and if you forgot to exchange them and the NPC is gone, you can still sell them to vendors.

At least the tickets should have worked like that: Acquire tickets, bet tickets, trade or sell tickets; tickets still selable anytime once the event is ended.
And not “pay for race”, get tickets. Tickets become useless outside the event.

As they are, if the moa races leave and with them the NPC, and you didn’t use these tickets after the even (e.g.: Got an accident and come back once the exchange NPC is gone) they become useless crap in the storage until next year, and that only if the moa races do come back.

I wish they kept in mind and kept using more of the good ideas they have already come up with instead making things unnecessarily annoying.

You got the solution already! Why in the 9 landmarks of the Fissure of Woe are you making up something else that is way worse?!

To derail this: The moas aren’t leaving. It’s a permanent part of the game now.

dude… there are 5 moas 3 are the “winning” moas thats 60% chance to win, statistically if u will play for long time you will always win. Thats why u can bet 100 g the economy wuld be ruin.

1st place 140 silver, 2nd place 60silver, 3rd place 20silver the rest 0silver

(140+60+20+0+0) / 5 = 44 silver win on average – so in the long run you are losing money
