I´ve been wasting alot of hours lately on trying to get these “Jade tickets”. I have been farming the Cofferts for hours and spent over 20gold on buying them. I thought it would help more to buy the “rich dragon cofferts” so i wasted 1200 gems on that to, still I got nothing. I thought that it was this difficult for everyone but I started asking around just in case and most of the people said that without magic find or anything else they have been getting theirs under 100 cofferts! I think this is unfair and that it would be nice if we could exchange the candies for a ticket aswell…

Teck, there’s a pretty big post about these, getting skins under 100 coffers would be considered EPICLY lucky, getting 1 out of your first 2k is more realistic. The rich coffers aren’t enough of an increase to make it worth it, so I would just keep grinding out normal coffers.

Here’s my stats. 120g spent. 5500 coffers, 5 total tickets.

My stats. 5000 gems, ~3000 coffers (if it possible to count). Realy heavy big bag of gold and real money.
Jade GS, 2 axes, scepter, greatbow, shield, hammer, staff. 8 tickets. Its 8 tickets. And bad taste after getting this tickets. Because its about 200 bucks.

P.S. And yes, i know that no one forced me to spend my money…

Some of you, guys got your tickets. And are you happy with that? I got my tickets, but im not :/ Its a cheap system. Its not from “epic” quest or dungeon etc. Its just casino.

I’m happy I got them, I’m not in love with the RNG box only system.

Sounds like most of you people are the problem here. If you keep spending real money in the gem store, Anet will continue to make these tickets only obtainable through RNG knowing full well you will all continue to fill their wallets.

Anyone who spends real money on RNG has no one else to blame but themselves.

I got mine after 1000 tickets. I thought i was extremely unlucky until i read this thread.
I feel really sad for people who wasted real money and didn’t get a ticket. Anet really have no shame.

1000+ coffers, 4 tickets. No coffers bought.

Around 1500 coffers, 3 tickets. But I’m not happy with this system, specially considering there will be new items avaiable in the next update. It’s too much gold to spend in such short period of time (and it’s worse for me, since I mainly play PVP,aka zero gold income).

I’ve spent about 20-25 gold over the course of this event and have gotten 5 tickets. I never buy more than 500 coffers at a time and I usually wait until I’ve made up the cost before buying more. I made about 60g in the first two days of the event and have hovered around 80g through out the whole thing, buying a stack here and there and making up the cost. I’ve opened 0 rich coffers and consider them a huge waste of money; they are there to sucker people into buying them but are not worth it.

In other words, it’s all about luck and there’s no real rhyme or reason behind it.

got mine at 6000 coffers, 2nd ticket at 7000.. so dont complain if u havent gotten one under 1000.. lol… theres a 20 page post on the coffer bullcrap;..

No tickets still. Easily over 1k chests opened. Very poor move Anet, very poor move. This player won’t spend another penny on this game if this is how new content is released. If at least the boxes were permanent, then in time with this drop rate, maybe in half a year I’d get a ticket… I could accept that. But 0.02% for just 1 month and no other ways to obtain the skins?

I got mine on my about my 400th coffer , i farm mine, so no gold or money spent

My friend got his on his 10th crate, (kick him in the shins)

I have farmed another 500 since and not got a kitten thing, on the other hand i now have 4000 taffy and wonder what i should do with that?

Eat the taffy till you puke , when you begin to puke eat some more…when you think you done eating taffy do yourself a favor and EAT SOME MORE…or you could sell it on the TP for about 10s per 250 stack?

8 stacks of 250 normal coffers. 4 tickets(actually got these in the first 6 stacks.)

I think I may have opened close to a full stack from just gathering so it is closer to 9 stacks. All the rest I bought of the TP.

1st ticket was in the first stack I bought. Second ticket was in the second stack. Went through a stack with no ticket. Next stack was a ticket. Next stack no ticket. Next stack was a ticket.

Anet need to fill this boxes with somethink that people can sell or use. I have 6 or 7 stacks of fireworks O_o single use potions and taffys… alot of taffys. And we can’t accumulate it in mystic forge. I have shatterer wings, so i dont need wings for candys. Boxes full of junk.

I’m not happy. I got them, but it soured the game quite a bit for me. I can say with certainty I won’t be buying gems from them for the next year or more.

I would actually be happy with the Dragon Bash RNG system if they just made one of two tweaks:

1. Rich Dragon Coffers have a guaranteed Jade Ticket. Tickets remain account bound. ANet can increase the price of Rich Coffers to 1000 gems (or more) if they wish.

2. Jade Tickets (and all previous weapon tickets) are tradeable on the TP. Let the market decide how much they’re willing to pay for one. Demand for Rich Coffers is likely to remain fairly stable due to players hoping to get a ticket and “strike it rich”.

Either one of the above two solutions added to the current system would make it work. We just need a way to bypass the RNG so that those players who are extremely unlucky can still get a ticket.

Personally, my favourite approach was the tokens (account bound) + drops (tradeable) system we saw for Super Adventure Box. However, my suggestions above were made from the point of view that I doubt ANet will drop the RNG entirely because they need it to fuel purchases in their gem store. (Which I don’t begrudge them for. They are a business and need to generate income somehow. They just need to find the sweet spot between paying the bills and creating disgruntled customers.)

I sold most of my coffers on the TP as I don’t really care about skins. I didn’t get one in Southsun (and didn’t care) and didn’t really matter to me if I got one here. When the coffer prices dropped below 2s, i had about 50 of them and decided to open them and got a ticket and a mini so I guess I was fairly lucky.

I wish I could sell it on the TP as I am sure I could make a mint selling it to one of you guys and I would rather have the gold!

the other big question is a price for it ~5000 coffers is 100g.. i have 8 jade weapons and it’s ~800g. Omg it’s almost price of legendary weapons.

:D On the other hand 800 gems is 18g? So… price in gems about 8000… ~40 bucks for a jade weapon? Jesus.

Meh, people pay far more for cosmetic items in other games. People pay 100’s of dollars in some cases for unusuals in TF2 and they are just hats. So, I guess $35 is a deal from that perspective.

I’m at about 1 ticket per 1000 dragon coffers and I want one more ticket. The last 500 didn’t yield a ticket so hopefully my next (and final) batch will give me one.

I’ve opened 800-1000 coffers and got 3 tickets and 13 holo knights, me and my friends and guildies are surprised so many people are SO unlucky. None of us have opened over 1000 coffers and we all have at least 1 ticket and most of us have 2 or 3 (one lucky guy has 6). One of my friends doesn’t have a ticket but so far he is on like 250 coffers so it isn’t that bad.

All of these were farmed after making a new character and leveling it (you get LOADS of coffers) or farmed on the first few days on the holos when they were silly easy to kill.

Well I feel sorry for the people who have opened so many and not got it and I wish you luck.

If it makes it any better I spent 21.5g on getting 3 wins for moa racing (this is the total amount lost as I did win some of it back).

I’m thinking I should consider myself lucky for once. I’ve been laughably unlucky with great drops in all games. I think the best I ever got was an Elemental Sword in GW when they still sold for a lot (~450 plat for me). Anyway, I don’t think I’ve opened even one thousand coffers. I’m not buying any so it’s just what I’ve gotten from playing. It’s felt like a lot but I wouldn’t think it even 500. I’ve gotten one ticket and a risen knight mini so far, and one Cold Potion if that counts as anything. Regardless, I do think the chance for tickets is way too low, especially considering what they trade for.

I’ve given up one one of these tickets. After all of the farming, and holgraphic minion slaying, and ultimately worthless dragonball matches I am done. I’ve lost track of how many coffers I have opened. The biggest problem is there is no point to opening them. Zhaitaffy is worthless, the food items are worthless, and the chance to get anything worthwhile appears to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 in 5000. Sure some people have gotten tickets quickly, some more than one. That doesn’t change the odds. The vast majority of people have nothing to show for opening multiple thousands of coffers. This is honestly the most frustrated I’ve been with this game.

750 farmed coffers with 0 ticket. Then ran one path of AC and got a ticket out of the trash mob coffer drops. Figures.

Coffers are pretty cheap now so I probably haven’t even broken the 100g mark yet, which is pretty good for 7 unique weapons. On my Mesmer I’ve been collecting the pink glowing weapons and have like 5 so far all valued at 100g+ each and they are pretty common to see now. I’d say the RNG on coffers isn’t so bad, they are get-table if you put the money in, but not so easy that everyone will have them.

Jade Tickets are also limited by holiday. The mats for mystic forge weapons don’t cease to be available at all. You don’t have to fear the month being over and not being able to get the weapons you wanted.

Agreed I would have been happy with farming candies in order to purchase the weapons tickets or have the chance from them in the boxes like the holo wings. I have opened 3500 boxes and seen nothing. My husband opened 10 got a ticket. A guild mate opened 7 boxes and ended up with three tickets (two in his first two boxes) Three other guild mates get tickets every 200 boxes. It seems like either you get them and you get them often or you never get them.

To hell with uniqueness if it means a disparity in payment. I firmly believe that games shouldn’t discriminate their players when it comes to rewards if the discrimination is based on something like RNG instead of skill tests.

^^ Totally agree with you Zenith.. It makes no sense that they made the dragon wings a drop OR purchase with candies but they make the jade tickets such a horrid RNG for most players. People would still purchase the boxes from the BLTC even if there were a way to purchase them with 100k candies. But let me tell ya I would be buying and farming candy like mad while I dropped money on those boxes hoping that it dropped before I farmed enough candies just like people are doing with the wings.

I finaly got my ticket some days ago… it took me about 1500-2000 cofferts to get it!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the reason Anet does things this way in the first place.

I waited and waited until normal coffers drop below 1.2s. bought 3500 coffers and got 5 tickets. I think I’m lucky.

Anyway, it’s now a good time to buy normal coffer if you havent got any ticket they are fairly cheap atm(around 1s).
