its been hell for me.. alrdy spend 5 gold and still need 1 win for achievment…. such an annoying situation.. anyone else with this problem?

Spent several gold, too, without getting ANY race win. Then I decided to try the “bet on the random moa” option, and with that I suddenly got three wins in a row. Maybe I just got lucky or maybe there is something special about that option, don’t know.

What I did was, to bet on the same moa, over and over again. Since each moa has a 20% of winning, it’s just a matter of time for that moa to win.

One 1st place will cover the costs of almost 3 losses (1.4g), so it ends up not being so bad unless you constantly lose, but statistically that would be as harder than getting top 3. So congrats on beating the odds if you keep getting 4th and 5th!

You don’t need the moa achievement at all to get the shattered wings. So unless you really want those points (without even a title), just don’t do it.

Unless you’re going for the mini you should trade in your tickets for prize money to off-set the cost. It would make you a profit, you probably won’t even break even but it will be better than losing it all and might fund a few ‘free’ bets to get the achievement.

If you are going for the mini you should expect to spend a lot more money (probably 20-30g) but you will get the achievement before then.

That’s how I did it as well. Got the achievement in about 45 minutes. I gained about 20 silver overall.

I don’t like the mini game though as it depends on total chance. I like mini games in general but only if there is some semblance of skill involved.
