My guild mate opened 15 coffers and found a ticket… I spent almost the entire day fighting holos, bet on 30+ races, fought in 60-80 dragon ball matches, spent five gold buying 120 coffers… opened around a thousand coffers in total … no ticket.
I usually have sucky luck when it comes to RNG but I had a blast on the first day. About 3-4 hours farming low lvl mobs, some holos and playing dragon ball.
First 100-150 opened gave me 4 mini knights, 2 tickets and 1 set of wings.
Sold the wings and minis at good prices to fund my legendary. In fact, my first coffer was from Dragonball and it gave me a mini, there were only 3-4 in the market when I got it.. Hesitated for a while and the price quickly went from 7g to 3g+ when I list it. Still extremely happy with my luck.
I do think the RNG is pretty poor personally, but I did finally get a jade skin after about 200 normal coffers opened. That’s maybe not too bad. But it sucks for people that are buying 10+ rich coffers and not getting a single one. Paid items really should not be so heavily reliant on good luck. It’s exactly what I don’t like about SWTOR’s cartel packs.
Of course…now that I have my jade ticket, I have no clue what to spend it on! A sword? A dagger? A pistol? I kind of want them all.
Opened a couple of hundred normal coffers and got nothing but sweets and fireworks. I am never lucky in these typ of things but I do not blame or dislike rng.
Just to drop in my own luck, in case it helps anyone. I’ve opened somewhere around 2,000 coffers. 1,000 were bought on the TP, and the others were from -constant- farming of non-holo mobs (which I am actually enjoying, the coffers dropping makes it seem much more worth it).
I have gotten:
2 weapon tickets (both from the bought coffers)
13 Risen Knights (I forged 8 of em and got a polar bear and a svanir, woo).
300+ fireworks.
A crap ton of food, a lot of which is pretty useful.
Zhaitaffy. So much Zhaitaffy.
This said, I think I was very lucky to get those 2 tickets. What bothers me is not the drop rate on the free coffers, but that people buying the rich ones are reporting terrible RNG. Definitely put me off buying any.
When the crates go down to 10c each, the complaints will slow down.
When they do, that’s when I’ll start complaining. I’ve been getting a lot of extra cash from selling them and would like to keep doing so for a while yet.
