i never buy them, since i think they are a theft. i dont like to be robbed, so i gave up collecting skins. sticking to minis and town clothes. until they put those in rng boxes too. then i quit the game.
Dam right. I have not bought a single box. I don’t support this kind of kitten.

Sadly some “hopeful” kittens will still buy them. You can no longer use “Supporting the Game! Supporting ANet” with these idiotic RNG purchases. Anytime you open your wallet to blow money, think of the opportunity cost. I’ve been reading/hearing people spend >$50 on these coffers. That’s like one (maybe even two) GOOD game on a console and/or steam – do that instead, that’ll give you 60hrs+ of quality gameplay as opposed to “chance” to get 1 “rare” item in GW2.
What happened to the ANet from GW1?
Stop buying the chest if you are losing money.
If you are “testing” the RNG, you are guilty of supporting the RNG.
For the love of the fluffy kitten, stop buying the RNG gamble system if you do not like these sorts of things in the game.

Consider the RNG lockboxes boycotted by me and have been endorcing everyone to the same in and out of game.
Unless it’s with gold earned in game.
I’ve boycotted all RNG boxes after the Halloween fiasco. I haven’t bought / spent gold on anything RNG since. Maybe someday they’ll get the hint that there are some of us that don’t like gambling our gold/money away like mindless monkeys.
In all honesty, this RNG system with these coffers has completely turned me off of participating in the event at all. I have no desire to even bother with any of the achievements.
I’m happy to buy armor skins, mini pets and other fun fluff from the gemshop, even for money, IF I know what I get.

every single one of them knows its a rng System, meaning RANDOM; every single one of them knows the Chance to get the Thing he wants is minimal; and yet they throw their Money in the wind like the true geniuses they are.
I mean srsly, this is a prime example of the not overly smart part of our Population, to put it diplomatically.

As long as they’re selling Anet won’t stop making them. If you want them to change then give them a reason.

A lot of people aren’t spending money and are upset not because they got ripped off (because they didn’t spend any money), but because the majority of the weapon skins added to the game have the kittentiest method to access them locking out a lot of players from obtaining some of the coolest rewards.
We all bought the game, but very few people can access the new weapon skins and those that do don’t do so by earning them, they do it by gambling on boxes.
