I feel like the achievements require too many activities that a boring and onerous.

Light 35 fireworks, cool, 100 boring.
Watch yourself throw up 80 pieces of taffy, cool, 250 boring.
Wait 1 second for 1 piece of taffy from the worlds cheapest pinata, 50 times is okay, 150 is boring.
Kill 100 holographic enemies fine, 300 boring.

For me, these events would be so much better if I wasn’t asked to do an activity until I hated it.

Anything I post is just the opinion of a very vocal minority of 1.

I agree there are too many repetative tasks. I run around all the time, and attack things, over and over. I go do a dungeon and what do I do? I attack things, repeatedly. Then I have to keep hitting F to pick up loot. Then I go to the vendor and I have to hit sell over and over, it’s nuts.

So much repetition… Oh wait, you were talking about something else, weren’t you? I must have missed it over the irony.

These are boring when people try to do them all in three days. The achievements are designed so that you do a little of each thing each day. You have a month. That means spend a little game time each day killing holograms. Of course spending four hours camping holo boxes is going to be boring, because it isn’t meant to be done that way.

It’s not a good idea to entirely focus on one activity, trying to max it before doing the next. Instead, it’s better to incorporate these things into your playing while doing the rest of the content, spreading it out over the course of the month. Beat a few pinatas as you pass while running around a city, scarf down a couple pieces of candy as you go, take a quick trip out into the zones and join a group for a few minutes at a time chasing holograms.

If you focus entirely on the task at one time, it’ll feel incredibly grindy, and not fun at all. If you instead focus on playing the game, and do a few at a time during several play sessions, you’ll barely notice it.

Basically: treat it as a monthly that you accomplish over the whole celebration instead of focusing on getting it within the first week. There’s a good deal more content incoming that may even make it easier than trying to grind it out now (that’s what happened at Halloween, which had incredibly similar achievements, for those that weren’t there).

Agreed. I made another thread about “boring stuff”. And this is boring…. even the scavenger hunt at halloween was better … still needed you to go collect stuff but at different places.

It’s human nature to want things early and to complete lingering tasks. There’s no reason these achievements need to be repetitive in order to make them last the month. Why not add a level of difficulty instead? Make the hologram monsters more challenging to kill and the number you need to kill lower. That would solve both problems.

Can you guarantee me that I will get a handful of tickets playing casually if opening 4000 boxes gives often none? This game is all about cosmetics, and these skins are not obtainable in any other way..

RNG is naturally streaky…I wouldn’t open a ton of boxes in one go, you could easily hit a streak. RNG becomes even chances over time.
