Now, quick disclaimer; I am doing the following with a full magic find gear set, sitting at 163% MF including booster.

I tested this during the Southsun Event also, where I opened roughly 40 – 50 crates, which yielded me with 4 Tickets.

I decided to test my ‘luck’ during Dragon Bash as well, and using the gear above, I netted again 4 tickets + 4 Risen Mini’s from 50 Rich Coffers.

Granted the Rich Coffers have a higher drop rate than your regular Coffers, I cant help but feel that MF does affect your chances of procuring a ticket.

I hope this helps some folks who are having trouble getting tickets.

It’s RNG, you were simply lucky I guess. MF does not affect what drops from a chest, this has been stressed again and again.

I opened at least 40-50 crates myself in Southsun with 155% (plus the 200% from the settler buff) and only ever got a exotic Reef Rider mini pet as the most rarest ‘color’ thing i got, not a single ticket. Its pretty safe to say its purely random and unaffected by MF.

Yeah they should have given you 100 tickets atleast…

MF doesn’t work with chests, MF only effects what drops from mobs. There’s literally no point in using MF for meta/world events as well, because it won’t effect what you get from your daily chests, or coffers.

There’s a difference between the gem-store coffers and the coffers that drop from mobs. Don’t compare tickets on the two.

Nobody in our guild has received a ticket from a mob-dropped coffer, and we’ve opened thousands. In addition, there is no listing of a ticket for regular dragon coffers on the wiki (yeah I understand the wiki is not the absolute truth in matters).
