The conclusions we draw from it are pretty cool and I like it a lot. I disliked that the entire discovery took place in the one room…I would’ve liked to go out clue finding with Marjory or something like that and then hearing about the clues.

This would also spread the amount of time spent on opening each of these more

The concept was cool, and it was a nice way of recapping the story thus far but..

The “reveal” if it could even be called that was the most underwhelming thing ever. Everyone already knew what she where she was going to attack next, and if they didn’t, Anet flat spelled it out for everyone in the Finale Trailer a few weeks ago.

So much for the reveal of her end game being something exciting. The only question now is if the voice in her head is a God, or a Dragon.

I’m hoping for a Mursaat – specifically, Lazarus the Dire.

Question.

Why is she spending resources terrorising every zone when she should be saving up for the attack on Lion’s Arch?

Distractions?

There’s not really anything to distract the players from. Even then, it’s a pretty huge investment of resources- Every time Scarlet attacks a zone, she loses hundreds of Horrors, Aetherblade and Molten Alliance.

Underwhelming? Sure, we may know she was going to attack Lions Arch, but the WHY we did not.

Namely, my theory is the voice in her head is the jungle dragon. Omadd’s machine removed and protection the dream holds against the control of the Jungle Dragon, and it’s using her. We know dragons naturally pour magic out while sleeping, so if there are a lot of ley lines in LA, I think she’s going to attack LA and unearth and awaken the Jungle dragon.

If not that, possibly an attack against Primordus at the Jungle Dragons will. Whether it’s an ancient dragon or something else, it’s going to be massive and major.

The investigation scene and her journal seems to strongly imply the theory of Sylvari being dragon minions as somewhat true. An ancient champion broke free like Glint, and shielded the seeds from the dragon control. Ronan planted on, and others got planted in various regions. The dream acts as part of the shield alongside the tablet (though other trees have their own protection I’ll assume), and the nightmare court really is just the Sylvari elements going back to their evil, dragon minion roots.

Possible Crazy Talk:
I started thinking that, as there seem to be dragons for different elements, why not a mind-dragon? And if so, is it taking over Scarlet to gain a body? If SO, is the Lion’s Arch stuff a part of the dragon’s plan to gain power, or is it Scarlet trying to destroy the dragon and thereby herself? Assuming the mind-dragon is preventing her from ending her life on her own…

Some must fight, so that all may be free.

A random thing I thought of as an alt to the above theory I posted.

What if it’s one of the current active dragons? Unsure what Kralk would want, but Jormag could use it as a distraction allowing him to strike southward. Zhaitan (If alive and just defeated) could simply want revenge. Primordus is the most likely. Turn LA into a deep enough Chasm, and he could use it to invade the surface with his destroyers.

She is apparently looking for something on the ground…
Hopefully an Elder Dragon or two…

…and don’t be toxic!

Warning -> Spoiler.
Only open if you’ve done the last story-instance.

Our little Holo-Asura said, that Scarlet saw those things, she brought in by herself (while she was diving into the Eternal Alchemy), maybe something she was hiding deep within her mind. Maybe locked away, something whithin the dream.

So…that thing what was speaking to Scarlet/ still doing it…
I think we got the Sylvari -> Jungle-Dragon-servants theory on again.

The only question now is if the voice in her head is a God, or a Dragon.

Or, it could be neither of those.

There were hints in the ‘A Study in Scarlet’ instance that the voice she hears could be a part of her own psyche that was walled off and that it may be tied into the Dream.

There are also possible implications that all Sylvari are naturally shielded from a dragons control, and by Omadd’s device removed all mental shields/barriers, the Dragon (Jungle dragon mainly for the theory) was able to see into Scarlet, and thus she has a voice in the darkness/back of her head/her nightmares driving her insane.

Vorpp simply points out they’d have to do a major study of how the dream works in order to completely and for sure state something one way or another.
