EoTM map design impressive
I’ve been there for the first time today and I absolutely hate it. this map is surrounded by cliffs and you’ll see bunch of players abusing Mesmer focus #4 or necro fear and any knock back skills to make you fall to your death.
I personally love it. It’s fun being able to blow people off the ledges and it’s also fun leaping off cliffs when you get attacked by an entire zerg, just to deny them the pleasure of your corpse (though they still get loot).
It’s a good map, people are going to have to build for stability and break stun or they’re going to have to stick to the central areas of the map.
It looks pretty, but the actual gameplay? Typical zerg mechanics. There’s no need to be mindful or even plan strategies. The PvE objectives are smashed by a zerg of any decent size.

What did you expect? The map pulls people from multiple servers and is designed to act as an overflow that you play in until your queue pops. The zone is a casual playground.
I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to explore a cooly designed map, this is it. If you are looking for great gameplay, this isn’kitten
I like the map design, it’s just so much different than the other wvw maps. I really like the idea of putting walls on more open areas instead of just having small, completely sealed towers.

Absolutely love the map design. Not only do you just fight enemies now, you have to watch where you’re standing. And there’s great joy when knocking a greater zerg off the cliffs, knowing you’ve just saved the battle.
There are multiple layers, allowing the “weaker” side to have a better chance at fending off the greater zerg. That in itself is a huge improvement over what we’re used to in WvW. There are multiple routes, so you have choices how you want to attack, or where you want to defend. It just feels like you can utilize more strategy than just blobs running into each other.
The only downside is that there are some spawned EoTM’s completely lopsided, so you have to switch instances just to get with a decent amount of people sometime. It can be frustrating until you realize you’re in a hopeless instance & switch. Overall, great fun so far, about to jump right back in for some more
Necros + mesmer boonstrip + 5-10 eles tornado form = GG.
I could see this map being used on some alternate reality type first person shooter game as well. Toss in a jump pad or two and launch rockets from across the map.
