No Carrot at the end of the stick - Thanks!
It was short, sweet, and very helpful for those who haven’t been up to date on the storyline recently.
I agree I liked it more than I anticipated.
Interaction with the PvP elements were low, character interaction was better, and it stopped at just the right time to give that cliffhanger.
When I first logged in and looked at the achievement list I was like “really? That’s it?”
Then I played a bit and realized this patch is really about a new WvW map and the tiny bit of Living World achievements they injected only guides us to the new content and reveals a bit of story. I like it.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I loved that it was not a grind list with a must have item attached.
I just relaxed and watched the story unfold and it was amazing, thank you.
Even though I have been there for the whole LS, it was still really cool and very well done.
I loved the inclusion of my character
I was also really dreading the whole wvw aspect of it- and now that I do not feel pushed to do it- I just might actually check it out, or not.
The point is it is my choice.
great update
I liked these achievements as well. To be honest, a few weeks back I was thinking how the community would react if Anet decided not to put ANY achievements at all for the living story parts. You’d just do the stuff you can do and that’s it.
However, I think that the way they implemented achievements this time, works a lot better. It gives guidance what to do and doesn’t feel like a grind at all.
Thank you for this.
More Story less grind.
I liked it that way.
Fiirst LS my totally PvE noob self was able to complete without following a guide
I participated in this Living Story patch, I didn’t after the first 2 days for the last one…
nuff said (aka I liked this far more than the previous facefull of to-do lists and garbage thrown into open-zones)
